We''re having a lot of issues reported using Windows Ink (such as the one you mentioned). All you need to do is just disable Windows Ink inside Affinity using Edit > Preferences > Tools and uncheck 'Use Windows Ink for tablet input'. This will tell Affinity to use the WinTab input (which is what 1.7 used) - they can leave 'Use Windows Ink' enabled inside the Wacom tablet properties.

I finally got it working,  I used this page to install .NET in a 64 bit environment.
Even though Affinity Designer displays it is unusable, it is not stable and crashes and the display glitches out. 
Guess i'll just need to keep my windows box a bit longer.

Thanks a lot @ashf, did some quick check with common punctuations I use and most, if not all, seem to working fine now. Haven't done in-depth layout test but at least the punctuation marks are not appearing at the wrong places...
Kudos to Affinity team and if anything you want me to help testing, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Try to enable Windows Ink in Wacom driver(Mapping), then disable Windows Ink in Affinity.

Line breaking rules and word spacing rules are mean to work together so if you can add it soon, it make line breaking rules really usable.
For very basic one

These should be 50% width(no redundant space) if it's at the start of a line* or the right side of other brackets/punctuation or next to spaces.

It's ok. I just explained you the final form of feature we need.
But would be nice if you could implement simplified version of it at first.
For example, Word has line breaking rules and word spacing rules that's simple and yet usable enough.
Basically Japanese word spacing rules compress spaces only on Latin characters and symbols.

First of all, thank you for implementing Asian line breaking rules even though it's still immature.
I will be reporting issues about it here.

And a reason it's slightly different from Microsoft's can be because Adobe targets Unicode only.

You gotta test as soon as possible to make it usable quicker.

I don't recall who it was, but someone from the Affinity team once posted here that under the hood it's a node-based architecture that is exposed to the user as a layer stack.
A Compositing Persona would be amazing and is definitely possible but I don't really have high hopes for that. At least not near-term. It would be great to have it with the 3D texture map preview and a few more generative nodes to create surface details. Maybe that could be a step towards getting nodes.

My guess is that co-existing layer system and node system that's interchangeable might be difficult since they are different architecture.
Practical implementation would be that each layer has own nodes so layers and nodes can co-exist without changing current architecture.
Like Filter Forge plugin has its own node system.

@Sean PNot the same user but another user who had the same problem using Wacom Intuos Pro on Windows 10 says it's solved by disabling Windows Ink.

You can create any combination of dots & dashes using the Appearance Panel, multiple strokes, a maths degree and 4 cups of coffee.

Anyone can sign in and use the forums. Only those who have purchased something for Affinity from the Store (or download some free content, if they purchased the applications elsewhere) can sign in to the Affinity Store.
There is also no requirement that you use the same email address or password for the Store and for the forums.

No it’s not possible to create a contact sheet in Affinity Photo, although there is a nice app called XnViewMP which can create contact sheets and it’s free. In XnViewMP it’s under the Create Menu, kind of obvious but thought I’d fast track ya lol!

Text Wrapping doesn't work somehow with an image(image layer) exported by Affinity Photo.
Rasterising it to a pixel layer or an image from another app works though.
Also "Edit Wrap Outline" cause a crash.
