Would be nice if the change of text style for a text object would be applied to inline text objects in it as well.
So I can change the style of all text in a text object at once.

CLOSED Issue

I feel this is more intuitive and efficient.
Inkscape has the same option for the Ellipse tool.

I use an offsite backup service (backblaze).  I was able to get yesterday's version of the file, which was extremely helpful!  It only took me about 90 minutes to recreate the missed work and 90 minutes is a small price to pay compared to losing everything. Backblaze saved my butt!!!

Use the donut shape, set the Hole Radius to 100%

Take a look at the settings from the context bar above the workspace.
They produce this arc...

I've been able to replicate this here and I'm getting it logged with our developers currently
I can confirm this re-draw issue is already logged with our developers & I suspect this bug is also causing the pinned CPU usage as the app struggles to keep up whilst incorrectly calculating the contour & constantly trying to redraw the object incorrectly.
I'll be sure to bump this log with our developers, and include the further information supplied here, I hope this helps!

How to Use
1. Insert your designs into the artboards using 'Design Persona' as normal.

2. From here, change to the 'Expert Persona' and you will be able to export the created files. This can be done in the 'Slices' Panel. You can export files individually or as a batch.

**Note: These files can then be put into a .zip file and uploaded to LINE Creators for testing. I *highly* recommend to do this, even on an empty file, because this is the only way you can see the potential color skins for planning your design. (annoying)

At that budget, you better go with a desktop that's off-lease or refurbish.
I'm using an off-lease DELL desktop that was under $200 and it's not bad.(but not decent, just usable.)

It will be real garbage if you go with a laptop.

Not exactly the same, but "for print" is similar.

In my first attached video I can see some of what you have reported.
In the first part, the Radius value doesn’t seem to change in the Context Toolbar but I’m not sure what value it’s supposed to be shown with more then one shape being ‘worked on’ at the same time.
In the second part, the Radius value and slider exhibit very strange behaviour, just watch the slider and value quickly jump between values.
Note: For some reason, near the end, the pointer changes to the Fill Tool pointer when the Contour Tool is still selected.
In my second attached video I have a group consisting of a Rectangle, a closed Curve layer, an open Curve layer, an Image layer, an Artistic Text layer and a Frame Text layer. (An artificially-random group but something which can be possible.)
When I try to apply the Contour Tool to this group I get some unexpected results.
Note: CPU usage went to near 100% on my fairly basic laptop with 4 physical cores so I had to shut Designer down to stop the fan from ‘busting out’. A previous test (not recorded) had even worse results with the application switching between non-responsive, and responsive but not displaying anything on the canvas. Neither situation is ideal.
My guess is that the Contour Tool has not been fully tested on either groups and/or different types of layers.
I don’t even know if using the Contour Tool has fully-defined expectations on some types of layers – I don’t know what should happen if, for instance, I use it on an Image layer. (Try it and see if you get what you would expect.)
More work on this tool is needed I think.

AP is much superior in terms of design flexibility.
Because Viva is a traditional page layout app like Quark/InDesign used to be.
You could archive similar result by using Viva with a vector graphic app such as AD.
But if the typography is the most important and essential to the artwork, AP wouldn't be an option like in Japan.
Means AP has practically no value in the publishing industry.

You can try it with the free version. (yes they have a FREE version.)
Free version does not have pdf export option, but it's enough for personal use.
And the premium version is of course much better than Indesign/Quark in terms of cost.
