This is a useful Potrace GUI web app since there isn't decent Potorace GUI app for Windows.
Potrace is for black/white only but well works for logos/text.

For the "Cycle Selection Box" of the Move tool, 
Translation should be "選択ボックスを循環"
Current translation"サイクル選択ボックス" doesn't make sense.
Or since there are only two modes, "選択ボックスを切替" might be more suitable.
This means toggling or switching rather than cycling.
 

As a FEATURE REQUEST, please, let Affinity (photo, designer, publisher, etc) show CMYK 0,0,0,100 as RICH BLACK (or pure black RGB 0,0,0)
Today, this appear a rgb 32,32,32.

Inserting a fill layer would work in same situations, but isolating a layer/layers in middle of deep layer hierarchy still needs improvement for the isolation mode.

By the way, RichardMH posted a great workaround in the other thread I linked in the original post: just insert a new fill layer underneath what you want to solo (temporarily), and everything underneath it will be screened.

i've devised a workaround in the meantime.
There's two artboards - they look identical inside Affinity Designer. On export however, one ignores erase layer.
one has "erase" layer and the other is masked (which is clunkier and harder to edit, but at this point i probably won't move stuff around anymore)

Affinity demand in Japan has been increasing in recent years, partly due to introductions on social networking sites.
I am one of them.
However, the lack of Japanese vertical text input limits the scope of my work considerably.
I would like the Affinity series to support vertical text input.

I'm using Affinity Photo, transitioning from Photoshop.  Most of what I do is moving bits around within a single layer.  
 
So I've figured out that you can MOVE bits by selecting with a marquee and then using the cross-tool, while holding the Command key down, to move the bits.  Just like Photoshop.  Kind of.
 
But how do you COPY the bits?  In Photoshop, you'd select with the marquee, then Option-Command-drag.  In Affinity Photo, this just changes the shape of the selection.
 
Is there a way to do this, without getting into masks, creating additional layers, etc?

I've basically quit using Pshop for the past 6 months or so, but there's one hiccup in Photo which has me stumped.
Here's something I do ALL THE TIME in Photoshop. I just use the marquee or box select to "erase" stuff, copy drag, move stuff, etc.. Anyone know how this works in Affinity?

I used the marquee tool (M) to select a portion of the image, then Move Tool (V) to drag the selected area.
I expect that when holding ALT/option, I'll drag a copy of the selection, leaving the original behind.
I'd also like that if you used the arrow keys while holding down ALT/option, I'll create continuous copies of the selection. Preferable for pixel art or just repeat a copy. In Photoshop, I can also hold down Shift to copy the selection 10 pixels at a time.

Why export persona available on affinity designer and photo but not on publisher? it is a pretty handy feature if one want to export only a part of document within the desired format. 

Same here!!! The default brush settings in Liquify Persona are much too invasive for me, so I have to tune them every time I start AP. It slows down the work. Saving the settings over the restart would be really cool. Something like "preset management" would be a dream! 🙂

Probably they think they'll be able to release V2 within less than a year. So people would uproar, if they paid for "1 year of upgrades" and neither getting V2 nor any updates for V1 after V2 rolled out, in case if it's less than a year since they purchased a license.

Yes, you are right.
Apparently they changed the policy to offer free updates till they release v2.
 

Like in Photo Persona, remembering the brush setting for each tool individually is preferable.

I think the problem is that there aren't many non-Western language speaker in Serif and it's difficult to understand the problem in those language environment for them.

I think this is confusing. it should be named "New Pixel Layer" since Photo can not create a "Layer" Layer.

But those create Pixel layers, not Layer Layers.
