  1. PixelPest and I are talking about inline objects and not glyph rotation. Though Adobe's "Tate Chu Yoko" feature can style rotated text(not single glyph) in a text object but it's only 90 degrees.
  2. I see, interesting. so it's like inline object? Would be nicer if I could do with text style like Adobe. Especially, when I handle long text that contains many of these.
  3. I'd like to rotate text partially but not only single glyph. When it's in vertical text format, it's called "Tate Chu Yoko" in Japan.
  4. @lynzrandok, probably tag editing is disabled on old topics.
  5. Please add an option to control eps format. AD rasterize all objects with gradient & transparency. PostScript level 3 is compatible with gradient, Illustrator or even Inkscape can export eps with gradient without rasterzing it. Also Illustrator can export objects with transparency as divided shapes instead of rasterizing it. Refer Illustrator's option panel
  6. Even if I enable this, copy&paste act like it's disabled. on Mac, I can paste SVG code to a text editor.
  7. Long time ago, QuarkXpress was selling specialized version for Japanese and it costs three times as much as the original version. Nevertheless, QuarkXpress was dominating the market at that time. If Aisan language implementation is such burden for you, you can develop specialized version like that. Even if you double the price for it, people will be willing to buy it. Still much cheaper than InDesign or QuarkXPress.
  8. FYI, almost 100% of paper media and publications are in vertical text format in Japan. So without vertical text support, Affinity Suite will be useless as a tool for them. Thus Adobe is dominating the market, they support vertical text perfectly.
  9. fyi, a webpage created with a software(especially visual builders) is not maintainable in most of case since they have particular logic and html structure for itself that's not compatible with other software. This includes Dream Weaver. So the only way to make them 100% maintainable is to use a code editor. Otherwise those pages you created with something will be broken on a new software, or it's easier to just recreate them with a new software. That's one thing I'm sure in my experience as I've been a web developer for more than 20 years.
  10. If you want to create a webpage visually and not so skilled in web development, try these: Nice Page https://nicepage.com/ Mobirise https://mobirise.com/ Pingendo https://pingendo.com/ Bootstrap Studio https://bootstrapstudio.io/ They're all modern and responsive(mobile friendly)
  11. Try Pinegrow. I'm not sure how much you skilled in web development but Pinegrow is good alternative for pro users. I don't want the dev team to spend a time to such a thing. I rather want them to implement advanced epub function to Publisher.
  12. For a LightRoom alternative, PhotoDirector is one of choice. Available on both Mac/Windows. https://www.cyberlink.com/products/photodirector-photo-editing-software/features_en_US.html
  13. Maybe media/file browser instead of DAM. Like Adobe Bridge. Currently it's little awkward to find and open them in Affinity. I can use 3rd party one such as XnView for now. But would be nice to have media/file browser with tight integration with Affinity Suite on both Mac/Windows.
  14. This is not request for Affinity Suite itself but compatibility with 3rd party software. XnView is one of most popular image browser and it's free. It's faster than Adobe Bridge and has more features. So I would like you to communicate with them and help them to add Affinity file format support to XnView MP.
  15. Adobe Illustrator unifies multiple shapes that is identical(Symbol) into single data when export SVG. This makes SVG a lot smaller. Would be nice if you could implement this. Also an option for simplifying shapes will be useful like SVGO's Precision option or AI's Decimal option.
  16. Pixelmator can import/export PSD with editable text layer for example.
  17. Problem is that even text layer in PSD created by Affinity will be loaded as pixel. This happens even if import PSD text as editable text option in Preferences is enabled.
  18. @loyukfaiYou can add the tag by yourself under the topic title. It seems Asian typography feature has lower priority on Serif's roadmap. But people more than in Europe and America is waiting for Affinity as Adobe alternative. Only these typography feature is the bottleneck as you mentioned.
  19. @loyukfaito make this topic easier to find. I also asked this to the poster of topics you linked. thank you.
  20. an example of Asian line breaking setting from other software: Microsoft Word https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/adjust-text-spacing-and-line-breaks-in-form-templates-that-contain-both-east-asian-and-latin-text-4f6d3705-6197-4e8f-b106-83b6eca91cd5#bm4 Adobe Illustrator https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/formatting-asian-characters.html Corel Draw http://product.corel.com/help/CorelDRAW/540223850/Main/EN/Documentation/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm#href=CorelDRAW-Using-Asian-line-breaking-rules.html&single=true Adobe InDesign, it has unbelievably complex set of layout feature... https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/composing-cjk-characters.html
  21. @lynzrandPlease add "line breaking" tag to this topic.
