I would report this to Figma - the SVG is being output correctly with the strokes so this isn't an issue on our side.
I seems that it happens only when import a svg file, coping and pasting from Affinity/Illustrator work properly.
Edit: when coping and pasting from Affinity, it turned into an image, which isn't good. -

Why would Adobe want to make things easier for people to take files they worked on Indesign and go with other software like Publisher?
I know I just told something that never happen. a sarcasm how selfish Adobe is .
Even though indd, psd or ai are the standard format like MS Office in early 00's.
CGI industry was the same but anti-Autodesk federation changed the situation by creating industry standard format and finally Autodesk joined too. -
@MEBA member of a user group is suggesting you to provide templates for Japanese formats.
Affinity have neither Japanese crop mark or Japanese B size paper, which makes it difficult for casual users to use it.
So if you can't implement them sooner, they think you should provide templates at least.
We may be able to help you to create the templates, but not all users are participating a user group, so the template should be provided on the official site. -
One more thing I noticed is that Figma might not be able to read images from svg.
So texture you added on objects will be just solid color. -
Hmm, Figma seems to have a problem with importing svg that has a object with stroke.
Even a svg made by Illustrator gets similar problem.
You might need to expand strokes. -
Yes, absolutely fine on both Illustrator and Chrome.
What app did they use to see? -
It looks fine on my side. which preset did you use to export?
-
Did you set stroke alignment to center?

hi just noticed affinity designer does not have this tool. I was trying to divide a map into provinces. So this would be very useful.
Any suggestions or alternatives to this function?
You can do this in Inkscape which is free.
Or add very thin stroke to lines and expand stroke. so you can use Geometry as usual.
Though it leaves a gap along the cutting line. -
Someone says when "Color LCD" profile is set to the display on Mac, screenshot's color will be way off in Affinity.
Color LCD is a built-in color profile often used as default.

@Patrick ConnorDo you think you can add very simple word spacing rules soon?
Line breaking rules and word spacing rules are mean to work together so if you can add it soon, it make line breaking rules really usable. For very basic one
These should be 50% width(no redundant space) if it's at the start of a line* or the right side of other brackets/punctuation or next to spaces.
([{〈《「『【〔〖〘〚)]}〉》」』】〕〗〙〛* these can't be at the start of a line by line breaking rules as you know.

Would you be able to implement text encoding conversion of layer name on PSD import?
Some of popular graphics app are still using non-utf so file made by them become gibberish in Affinity.
Such as SAI which uses SJIS encoding.
http://systemax.jp/en/sai/
Please check the sample on Photoshop so you can see correct result.
SJIS AKA Shift_JIS

I'm talking about on Windows on a Surface Pro 7. I can zoom the view with gestures,
but not rotate.
Yes I'm aware of it, thus i said if it's Mac.
-
You can do that with two finger gesture on a trackpad if it's Mac version - like iPad version.

Hi ashf,
As far as I'm aware it cannot be disabled in Windows, however the option in Affinity to use 'Windows Ink' does rely on having it also enabled in the Wacom Drivers. However disabling it in Affinity will cause us to ise WinTab to interpret the commands coming from the Wacom and not Windows Ink.I heard that enabling Windows Ink on both Affinity and Wacom cause operation problem such as this rotation reset by double clicking.
So they end up enabling either of one, mostly Wacom's.
Is that common? -
Seriously Serif should charge discounted upgrade fee for each 0.1 upgrade.
Former Plus series had such upgrade policy and it has been healthy and sustainable.
I don't think current policy is healthy, it rather make me concerned sustainability.

THIS ONE IS CRITICAL:
Some of symbols and following symbols should break up.
Did you set no-break rules for them?e.g.
今日は天気ですね。「おはようございます」
it seems that "。" and "「" are always together side by side without breaking up.
Also it seems that it's applied to these symbols that should break up with following symbols.
!"):;>?]}’”〉》」』】〕〟!),.?]}。」、・ -
The rules don't work with percent symbols % and %
it can't be be at the start of a line.

@GabeWould you be able to disclose all characters that's being targeted on Asian line breaking rules?
So It makes it easier for me to test the rules and give you an opinion.
