  1. or showing only transparency of active alpha channel while editing would be fine for me. only its activating/editing method bothers me.
  2. @AlterjorchDid you update nvidia driver to the latest one? Also you may need to disable G-sync.
  3. Did you try to use iGPU?(if your machine has one) Select "Power saving" https://www.howtogeek.com/351522/how-to-choose-which-gpu-a-game-uses-on-windows-10/
  4. I don't think it's because of patents. PhotoPlus, predecessor of Affinity Photo had exactly the same behavior as Photoshop on alpha channels.
  5. +1 for better abr compatibility
  6. As far as I know, Serif itself don't want any fundraising or donation. That's one of reason I said that probably better to go other way. But I do think current business model isn't so healthy. They had been releasing new version of their products every 1.5 - 2 years and it was paid upgrade in the past and it was sustainable. Plus series, predecessor of Affinity series. Now they haven't charged upgrade fee for more than 5 years. I too concern their business. But for now, all I can do is to sell their products.
  7. Donation would be nice but Serif is an established company, not a non profit organization. So I guess it's better to refer their products or swag to promote Affinity instead of donation.
  8. Hmm, Mac only problem? I was able to select more than 300 objects that's not grouped or merged on Windows. Edit: happened on Windows as well.
  9. When I save an image as afphoto after developed, its file size end up strange. As if it's still RGB/16 or RGB/32. (of course I converted it to RGB/8) it's the same on 1.8.4.650 beta. Exporting jpg/psd/tif doesn't have the problem. Also if I open the jpg exported and save as afphoto. it is fine. to moderators: Please move this topic to other than FAQ
  10. Would be nice if I could move a object toward rotated angle by numeric input on Transform panel. E.g. activating the option when Alignment Handle is enabled.
  11. Thank you. So there is no way to do this with Transform panel by numeric input.
  12. Is it possible to move a object toward rotated angle with Transform panel? (Without reverting back rotation once)
  13. One thing I noticed is that when I set history slider to the left edge, no history step will be selected. And if I do something, branch won't show up. so it's impossible to revert back. I think this is the reason people are complaining.
  14. Yeah, I'm trying. but they are just a stranger, sometimes it's hard.
  15. I saw many people who is complaining about history panel behavior on Twitter. If they select a object while rolling back the history, history later than the point they selected will be erased. I know this is normal behavior in Affinity and I don't have a problem. But they are familiar with Photoshop's behavior that selecting a object doesn't affect the history. They blame Affinity that this is a flaw of the program. So I think it would be better to show warning when they select a object while rolling back the history.
  16. Yeah, PhotoPlus - predecessor of Affinity Photo had only alpha channels and not spare channels, much more like Photoshop's. Not sure the purpose of this change.
  17. Interesting. I don't speak/write RTL languages by myself but that's good news since I know many people are wanting RTL capability on Affinity.
  18. Report from 1.0 but 1.0 beta? Both of them don't have recent report. Latest one is older than few weeks.
  19. Yes, Blender is becoming industry standard and free.
  20. I know, like I posted the comment from omachi above, Serif need to hire the professional. Hopefully one of Japanese text engine developer he mentioned. But unless I keep posting the information periodically, Serif tend to lose what we posted.
