    Hi dmstraker,

Thank you for your 5-stage Curve Select macros concerning Luminosity Masks, including a detailed documentation sheet. I’ve finally been able to look at these macros, and I find all 3 sets to work well on Mac OS. Thank you kindly.

While the macros work, I haven’t been able to figure out how to change your macros dynamically. Here’s what I’m trying to figure out. Once I press a macro button, the selection (marching ants) comes up, as advertised. Is it possible to tweak the Blend Range upon which the macro was based, so that I could have a wider (or narrower) range for the luminosity mask? I may want more/less darks. I know I can do this if I manually created a Blend Range, and then change it in “real time” to obtain the effect I want. But how would you go about doing this, once the macro is run? I tried going to the cog wheel (that turns on the Blend Range, but no dice, only the default beginning Blend Range.

Any hints? Or maybe it can’t be done, which is a finding in itself.

Again, thanks for your work in Affinity Photo, and your generosity in sharing it through the Forums and your Youtube channel InAffinity.

Hi Wei, you go to the Macro panel and step through the macro. A way to do this is to turn off all steps, then turn on one step at a time, press 'play' and then turn it off and turn the next one on.

Alternatively, adjust directly the layers creates.

Otherwise the macro was not really set up for modifying.

      Best

      Hi Dave,

Worked like a charm, once I found the "play" button (I'm a newbie at macros.). I found your Blend Range curves once I pressed the cog wheel on the Layers tab, not the macro tab. I now can tweak your curves to real-time affect the selection. Thanks, again.
