  1. Thank you. Will add a post now, much appreciated. Best wishes, Mark
  2. And as SOON as I figured out the one thing it starts to crash again!! Also DID get an error report window pop up this time so have attached that here for you. Best wishes, Mark Affinity Photo_2019-08-19-151404_Mac-Pro.crash
  3. Actually I see what is happening now. You can't just update the number in the field. You have to tab out of the field first in order for it to update so all working although might be better if you didn't have to tab out in order for it to update? Best wishes, Mark
  4. Hmm okay and now it doesn't want to crash for me. Was going to make a screencast but now it's not crashing!! It is however still having problems with entered numbers. Will make a screencast showing that now. Thanks, Mark
  5. No problem. Thanks for noting it. Any chance of a setting to change the up/down to be brush size instead though? Just seems so much more intuitive that way. Before I found the bug (hadn't been doing much canvas rotation before that) I was always getting confused with which way to drag. After the bug happened it was just totally intuitive to drag in that way. Is there anywhere we can plead for additions to the App? Thanks again, Mark
  6. Hi, Was just trying to create a colour palette from an image (Swatches->Create Palette From Image…) and first problem is that when clicking the Create button AP crashes every single time. I can screenshot the colours so not a massive problem at the moment but does crash consistently every single time. Also after the first crash I noticed that changing the number of colours to anything other than the default 5 and then pressing the Preview button did nothing. I had to use the slider to change the number of colours and then press Preview, then it worked again. Again nothing major but definitely not working here. Thanks, Mark
  7. Was just wondering what the noise slider is for when adding a Lens Filter Adjustment layer and then clicking on the Filter Colour option. Changing the slider has no effect on the image and also when you click out of it the amount you select isn't remembered. Is this something that hasn't been implemented yet or does it only work in certain situations? Thanks, Mark
  8. Sorry not sure if this an intended consequence of rotating the canvas or not but got me a bit confused when it happened. When you rotate the canvas then use the CTRL-ALT key command to drag and make your brushes larger / smaller - harder / softer then say you've rotated the canvas 90º the CTRL-ALT and drag now works in the opposite way to normal. I actually prefer the way it ends up being with up and down controlling the size of the brush and left to right controlling the opacity as it feels more intuitive to me. Guess it's the size thing of dragging up makes it larger. Would love it if there were a setting to do this? However along with the setting (if we were to ever get one ) I 'think' that it possibly shouldn't change just because you've rotated the canvas? Best wishes, Mark
  9. Nice work and great to see the process video! Best wishes, Mark
  10. Whenever you need to select a source for certain tools then if you hold down the Alt / Option key and click where you want to sample from then that should do the job for you. So basically hold down Alt / Option and click somewhere to sample from, then let go of the Alt / Option key and start painting. Hopefully that should work for you? Best wishes, Mark
  11. Wow!! Absolutely stunning work! Love everything about it. Best wishes, Mark
  12. For me it's literally no brushes / brush sets at all. Don't know why it's different for some though. These are brushes that I've had for ages and they all work within Photoshop just fine. I've even exported them from Photoshop to ensure they're coming out in what I would then believe to be the correct format and nothing works. All of them load into all other Apps though.
  13. Lol sorry! :-) UK here too. Was a little hasty I guess but have work to do and can't (not easily anyway). I'll definitely be more patient now though. Best wishes, Mark
  14. Hi Lee, Was just wondering if you've been back to the office yet? Wondering what the official word on this is? Seems a few people are having the same problem so was wondering if we'll possibly be getting a fix at all? Really don't want to have to use ABRView.jar to get all the PNGs out of all my brush sets to re-create them again as that will take ages. Also can't get AP 1.7.2 to work with ANY PS brush sets anyway even totally brand new ones. Thanks for any information you can put our way on this one. Best wishes, Mark
  15. Lots and lots of brush work on the Gorilla for this one as needed to paint all his hair back in due to masking not being so easy on him. "Run Biker Run."
  16. Same issue here. ( Really hope this is going to be fixed soon as need to import a LOT of brush sets and even re-exporting them from Photoshop doesn't work and they are definitely 100% valid abr files when doing this. All other apps import them fine and 1.7 imported them fine too. Best wishes, Mark
  17. Just a very quick one tonight. "Ever Watchful Forest".
  18. Hi Peter, Thank you very much that's very much appreciated! Checking that page out now, thanks for the link. Best wishes, Mark
  19. Very good question! Thanks for the heads up on that. Definitely shouldn't be that way as you can see from the before image so not too sure what's gone on there. Will re-export later on and update the post. Thanks again for noticing that. Best wishes, Mark
  20. Ah yes, very nice work. Will add her to the list of people to learn from. Thanks for all the help, it really is totally appreciated. Mark
  21. Thank you so much! Kind words of encouragement I definitely need and that's really nice of you to say so. Hope you have a great rest of the weekend. Best wishes, Mark
  22. Crikey!! Thank you so so much! That really does mean a lot to me. I'm new to photo-manipulation and came across Erik's work quite a while back and absolutely love everything he does so to be compared to him is a serious honour. I have a way to go and a lot to learn before I'm that good though. Here's hoping though! Best wishes, Mark
