I'm running Affinity Photo, version 1.5.2.69.
Like many other retouchers I perform my workflow mainly with the feature "frequency separation" (btw: nice job you've done).
To make the gradient of the colors (skin, hairs) a bit smoother I use the "Paint Mixer Brush". Most important issue I miss is the "auto-clean"-Button of the brush.
Another suggestion is the automatic creation of "edit"-layers (base layers are protected) to have a fast comparsion (before/after) - see attached picture (1).
In PS I created an action to create this edit-layers, but I'm not able to do this with an AP-macro ("cannot record move" - see pic 2).
It would be nice, if you can implement this in a later version.
