  1. I gave your idea a shot, but since (as you already mentioned) it's not centralized, it's pretty much useless.. Also, I still would have to duplicate each and every business card on my own - which is the problem I wanted to solve in the first place. So I guess that's where we're at right now..
  2. Well, I'm printing stuff in our graphics studio and whether I'm the one doing the cutting or someone else, we need those crop marks most of the time... We have to export files in PDF/X-3:2002 for our printer to recognize it. I don't have much experience with imposition software, but I might take a look at it. Thanks for advice.
  3. What would be the easiest solution to export 21 (3 columns, 7 rows) 90x50mm business cards on SRA3 paper (320x450mm) with cut marks and 4mm spacing between them? See, in Corel, you can easily do that by selecting "print" and export through PDF. But I can't seem to find workaround for this in Affinity... Thanks for all your tips -.<
  4. After more fiddling with Affinity, sometimes it does the same problem even when using Add boolean operation. I've created multiple objects using grid, having them next to each other side by side and I still get these artifacts and unconnected walls. It's super frustrating.. How can anyone say this is NOT a trivial thing? This is literally the core of vector graphics!
  5. Thank you for taking your time giving me a detailed reply with visual representation of your steps. I appreciate that. Though you missed one thing - if you look closer, second curve was made out of elipse and not circle, like you made with corner tool. I think you would need at least one more step to achieve that. I admit corner tool is a very useful thing in Affinity Designer and I really like how it works, but it's always making mirror curve to both sides from the corner.. Though that got me thinking. I wish there was this kind of shape tool, that we could use to connect to other objects: Or even better - custom shape tool. Now THAT would be amazing.
  6. Show me the fastest way how to do something like this in Affinity Designer (this was done in Corel, took less than 1 minute). I'm not asking because I want to argue, but because I'm looking for some solution so I can use Affinity Designer for what I need.. Well, it's not always so simple as you've shown. And any unnecessary work only slows you down. That's quite an arrogant answer. Of course it takes less time than posting it on forum, but I took my time to post it here so that that the problem gets solved. And even that statement might not be entirely true, because if you deal with the same problem over and over, then it eventually wastes more of your time than posting it in forum..
  7. Well, I'm a graphic designer and I work with CorelDraw all the time and even though that program is nowhere near perfect, it handles boolean opearations perfectly. And for things like posters and business cards this IS a trivial problem for me..
  8. I understand, though think it should be on the high priority list for many reasons..
  9. Yes, but you're still staying in the same lightness. Try doing something similar like this - variations of orange - lighter to darker orange:
  10. Because using this kind of blending mode you could turn something like this: into this: ..without much effort. Also notice that part of the red picture could remain intact. (Take this only as an example.) Using Color blending mode you can't always achieve the color you're looking for, because it only changes the hue. With Overlay blending mode you can, but only if it's over desaturated layer. Try it out for yourself - try turning some green object in your picture into brown and orange one using Color blending.
  11. Good question. With this kind of blending mode you could directly affect PARTS of your picture with the brush, not just the whole layer or your selections. You could also easily blend multiple colors into each other (for example recoloring those red flowers into teal / blue ones). This would make recoloring so much easier and open many new possibilities. I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain..
  12. Bump. Please, give me at least one sentence of whether there is possibility of ever seeing this in future or not..
  13. I've been looking for this kind of mode in every kind of program I could find for years, but with no luck. I've even tried to directly contact developers of one program, and even though they promised me that they will look into it, they never implemented it.. So I'm putting my hope into your hands. I see that you communicate with your community and take their suggestions seriously, so hopefully you'll think about this one and maybe implement it one day.. Feature request: Color replacement blending mode It would work exactly the same way as overlay blending mode works over desaturated layer, but this one would work that way over any kind of layer, even colored ones. Here is an example: This blending mode would be one of the most useful things to be included in a program for any kind of graphic designer. This would be the easiest way to recolor any part of the picture to the precisely desired color. If you could implement this feature one day I would be forever grateful!
  14. Oh I'm sorry, this happens for me in the retail version, not the beta version. I didn't realize I was in the beta version forum when I was posting this.
  15. Hello Affinity team! While using your amazing program, I've noticed that there's a little lag that is sometimes present at start of moving, stretching or skewing of objects. Here is an example: Do you have any idea what could be causing that? Because it can be very frustrating after some time. Thank you very much, hopefully I'll hear from you soon.
