I have 4 physical disks; 2 formatted for speed, 2 for redundancy

If anyone from Serif is monitoring this, please help. I have a bunch of documents that I cannot open.

There a lot of files that I can't open from my local RAID, boot drive, or cloud. (Scones) Then there are plenty that I can. (1 Pies) Scones Nearly Finished 9-17-23.afpub 1 Pies Four FM 9-19-23.afpub

Just downloaded the latest version yesterday and now previously saved files are "from a later version" ?!?! The only openable file I have is the one that was left open yesterday. It is happening to I've tried duplicating the file. I've tried redownloading the app. Anyone else have this problem?

Thank you so much for your help. I used your advice to fix one of the files/chapters in the book. Now I need to fix the remaining chapters.

When I tried Clearing the Masters so that there's no text box, the ToC still showed the blank pages.

When creating a Table of Contents, pages without any content (masters cleared, no items on the page) show up in the ToC with their section name. Thanks everyone. It is a weird one. I think it was the Independent Baseline Grid setting on the Master Page Text Frames. I unchecked that and the problem seems to have vanished.

I think it's a bug...I have been struggling with a bizarre reflowing issue. I have text that redraws in 2 text boxes. In the screenshots the subhead "Filling" appears twice. It has happened with multiple text styles in multiple documents.

I set all of the markers using Comm-Opt-Shift-[. (I also double-checked by clicking on the topic in the list and doing Find in Document search.) They just didn't show up when I inserted the index. They were all in the index list but I had to go back and manually add them. It was a small doc so not a big deal but now there are 2 flags at every reference. thanks for the feedback index1.pdf

Hi I've manually inserted index markers throughout my document. When I inserted the index on a blank page at the end of my doc, nothing showed up. There were index topics listed in the Index tab but they wouldn't register in the newly created index. I then right-clicked on the index item in the Index tab and selected Find in document... if I reselected the index term it would then show up in the index. Is there a way to remove all index markers? Any ideas will be appreciated.

It seems to happen when I use the Update "xxx" style in the Text Styles dropdown menu

When I Select All and paste into BBEdit all of the text is there. This happens quite frequently. I started using the Save History feature as a result. Sometimes returning to a previous history state reveals the text and sometimes it doesn't. Pies and Tarts.afpub

Agreed. It really needs to be able to use the area outside of the canvas. I end up using Sketch to work on objects and then copy them back into Affinity.

I agree with JokerMartini...i really need to be able to drag guidelines. I keep Autodesk Graphic open and spend a lot of my time copying/pasting. Alfred's Create Guide(s) Here > Horizontal/Vertical/Both is also an excellent idea.
