I can see that Trend Micro components are involved in the crash.
For testing it migt be helpful that you deactivate Trend Micro security.
And can you tell us wich CPU, GPU and Windows Version you use?
You should also update your gpu drivers.

Hello @Rob Marsh and welcome to the forums.
Did you use the Place function to get the image into the document or did you load the image normally?
If you have placed it, the image layer must be rasterised before it can be manipulated.

It is quite simple whether you want to jump from page 2 or page 10 back to the first page, the linking remains the same because the jump target does not change. So you can use the link as often as you like.

Im alten Asset wurden die Bilder mit einem 'Bild platzieren' Rahmen ins Dokument eingefügt und auch so mit ins Asset übertragen. Möglicherweise ist die Handhabung solcher Bilder in 1.9.2/1.10.1 verändert.

How to create decent screenshots in Windows 10
In Windows 10, it is possible to take a screenshot by pressing PrtScn key.
Via Preferences --> Ease of use --> Keyboard, you can also use it to call up the Snipping Tool. Once you are on the settings page, scroll down until the text 'Print Screen Shortcut' appears. Tap the On/OFF slide button to on, if it not set.
This can be used to define areas of the screen in a square shape or as a freely defined area, to mark individual windows or to take a screenshot of the entire height and width of the screen.
The screenshot can then either be roughly edited or/and saved or it can be pasted from the clipboard into other applications.

Please update the AMD system and graphics card drivers. But please not from the manufacturer of your laptop/PC.
And maybe the graphics card is not allocated enough memory.

In the "More"-option in the export dialoque you can choose the backround color. Defaul is set to 'none'.

Yes, that is completely correct. The elements are grouped into artboards. This is practical because you can immediately see how the CID (Corporate Identity Design) looks on the different media.

Is the hardware acceleration active in the Publisher under Preferences --> Performance? If so, please deactivate it.
If it is already deactivated, a Serf support member will take care of your problem.
