Newest update of AF Photo heavy crashes
Komatös replied to asschili's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
Hello @asschili and welcome to the forums. Can you provide us a crash report? -
Hello @alrine and welcome to the forum. If the computer crash and restart, you have a faulty driver or a Windows system componet that is missed or defect. Install the latest graphics card driver, but before, uninstall the old with DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). If this doesn't helps, you should scan Windows system components with sfc. To do so press Windows + X, choose CMD (Administrator), type sfc /scannow and press return.

Microsoft Store for Business

Hello @Eichmeyer Read here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-store/ -
Hello and welcome to the forums, @James Harrison Do you really believe that? Your Windows blocks third-party programmes and you think it's their fault? Because if it were Serif's programmes, surely more users would post this behaviour here. Check your Windows installation. A good place to start would be to check the security settings in Windows 10. Maybe your Windows isn't up-to-date. You can also try Windows system file check with sfc. To run this tool press Windows + R, choose CMD (Administrator), type sfc /scannow and press enter.

Not all tablets have a ring, not even all Wacom tablets.

@Martin Lanza I know you already wrote that the drivers and OS are up to date, but the Windows updates do not always replace faulty system files. I would recommend you to check the system with sfc. Press Windows key + X. Select CMD (Administrator). Type sfc /scannow and confirm with Enter.

The Microsoft Office Cloud Fonts are all created in variable font format and cannot be used in Affinity programmes at the moment anyway, as there is no support for variable font format in the programmes yet. And the cloud fonts are in a separate cache that only MS Office programmes have access to. Correction: Not all fonts are in variable font format.

Hello and welcome to the forums, @Mike Christian The workbooks introduce the operating elements of the user interface and show the possibilities of the programmes with many examples. Within the programmes, you can get extensive information on the functions and options of the programmes via the help. And if you have questions that the help does not answer, you will always find someone here in the community who has a solution.

@dre. The question is whether it is the OneDrive client that comes with Windows or the Store app that you can install later from the Microsoft Store. In the first case, the preview function of Windows is used. All files for which there is a preview handler are displayed here with a thumbnail. In the second case with the OneDrive app, there are only thumbnails for the common document, image and audio formats. This is not a bug of Serif, but a design flaw of the OneDrive client app. In this case, there is the possibility of submitting feedback in the Microsoft Store.

App crashes after creating and using a symbol

What if you open the layers before drag & drop the symbol? I am too tired now to try it myself. 🤪 -
