  1. I don't like the store much either, but every now and then there are little helpers that you don't get in the wild. 🖖🏼
  2. And since you bought the iPad version, you can only install on iPads or iOS devices that meet the software requirements.
  3. Which App Store did you buy it from? The Serif Store, the Apple Store or the Windows Store? Only if you bought directly from Serif, you can access your purchases with the Serif store account. If you purchased from Apple or Microsoft, you can only download data from their stores using their account.
  4. No, Microsoft will only exclude programmes from installation that do not have a valid signature/certificate. As far as I know, Apple does the same. This is to prevent programmes with the same name from introducing malware. The best example was CCleancer. Many people loaded a file called CCCleaner, once started, the system was locked and all files were encrypted.
  5. Hello and welcome to the forums, @LLaurence Purchases made in the Apple Store can only be downloaded from the Apple Store. Serif does not have access to Apple Store account information. Please read here:
  6. Hello and welcome to the forums, Lassahn, In some cases it has been shown that it was due to linked files; either because the linked file was no longer in its original location or was faulty. If all the linked files are stored in a folder, you can rename that folder and create a new folder that has the same name as the one you renamed. Then copy file by file from the renamed folder. Of course, the Publisher must be closed each time! Repeat this until the Publisher document can no longer be opened. Then you have already found a file that is causing problems. Of course, you should then continue the check with the remaining files.
  7. And I thought I was the only one with this bug.
  8. I see the problem, you have had the code activated but not registered with the account at the serif store. If you haven't the code anymore, your'e not be able to activate again. Maybe the support staff at affinity@serif.com can help.
  9. Hello @Kenshisz I suspect that the giveaway code was only for a one-time activation; and could only be activated for a certain period of time. This is the case with all giveaway codes I know. If you want to continue using the designer, the only option is to buy a full licence.
  10. Hello @Kry and welcome to the forums. This is not an import error. The file contains font information that cannot be read with other programmes. I don't know the Arc programme, but there are certainly settings in the export options to convert text into vector objects. AI returns the following error message during import: "The document uses fonts or characters that are not available or are in a different format than originally specified". You should ask your question again in the ESRI forum. https://community.esri.com
  11. Hello @Dirk Schmücker I think you use the wrong glyph. And if I testing with various fonts, it is the font itself. Have had testet with Calibri. The export is faulty. Exported with Dejavu, the result shows as expected.
  12. Why do you not use a external hdd/ssd or a little file server (e. g. raspberry pi with nextcloud)? It costs a little, but you can be sure that no one can see your data. Even if all the cloud providers claim they are secure, someone always finds a security hole.
  13. Hello @sophie123 Are you using the OnDrive client that is set up during Windows installation or the UWP app from the Windows Store? There is no preview handler for Affinity programmes in the UWP app. In the Windows app, however, thumbnails should be displayed. This is a general problem with all cloud clients that do not use the Windows preview handlers.
  14. Can you try with deactivated hardware acceleration? You find this under Preferences --> Performance. If this doesn't help. Activate again.
  15. I have saved an example file with history, so you can follow step by step what I have done. Add two shapes to one.afdesign
  16. Hello @cgroel and welcome to the forums. Is it supposed to look like this? If so, you only need to connect both donuts with ADD. Select both donut layers and choose Add symbol
  17. Hello and welcome to the forums, @lvb005 Make a double-click on the title bar of the "Data Merge" window.
  18. Then go to Preferences --> Performance and untick hardware acceleration. But first, have you installed any third-party software that described in the following artikel?
  19. Here is my suggestion. Download the newest GPU driver from NVIDIA, deinstall the old driver with Display Driver Uninstaller, so that no faulty driver residues remain in the system. Reinstall the newest driver. If it still doesn't work, please check the Microsoft .NET Framwork with .NET Repair tool
  20. Hello @Guido368 and welcome to the forums. Another user has the same problem. His solution was to start Affinity Photo first and then Display Fusion.
  21. @Jason227 @Tubor Hello you both and welcome to the forrums. To see whats happend, we need a crash report.
