I am able to open the document under Windows 10. With the informaltion from @SPaceBar I tried to remove the colour tag (right click on the layer and select the colour tag deselect symbol). Designer crashes here. And curiously, no crash report is generated.

Hello @dialynn and welcome to the forums. If you have purshased the software at the Microsoft store you don't need a key. You need only to download and install the software from the Microsoft store. If you have registered the publisher with Serif and no longer know the account details, contact affinity@serif.com.

One hint more. Please make shure that your Windows has all updates. You should also be sure that the GPU drivers are uptodate like GarryP mentioned.

Disgusting non-existent after-sales support
Komatös replied to Ted88's topic in Customer Service, Accounts and Purchasing
Hello @Ted88 If you have a question about the account, this section of the forum is for you. If you have a problem with one of the applications, or a question of understanding, you will be helped by the users or by a Serif support staff member. Choose an appropriate sub-forum of Affinity Support & Questions. Keep in mind, however, that the stupid Corona virus has turned many processes upside down and that the support staff could only act inadequately in some cases. Serif's support is much better than that of some of its competitors. -
Affinity Photo freezes Windows 10 completely
Komatös replied to luki251's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
If the system crashes completely, you have a driver problem! Usually it is the graphics card driver. Please update the GPU driver. Uninstall the old one first with DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). If it still does not work, faulty Windows components could be the cause. To check this, press the Windows key + X, select CMD (Administrator), type sfc /scannow and press return. -
Can confirm with your picture. Tint was by 64%

Hello and welcome to the forums, @Mkeytail You can try to install the latest GPU driver with Windows 11 support from Intel or you go to Preferences --> Performance in Affinity Photo and untick hardware acceleration.
