  1. When installing V2 for the first time, a query should have appeared asking if you want to take over all assets, brushes etc. from V1. You can force the prompt again. Hold down the CTRL key and start the program. You get a selection box, deselect all entries and mark Force migration prompt.
  2. @Maksimus Do you drag & drop the icon from the Application folder? For me on Windows 11 it works fine. And Rocket Dock is already quite outdated. The last and most recent version is from 2017.
  3. @Vizim But keep in mind that you can't open projects that you create or edit in V2 with V1
  4. @Vizim If you want to comply with the licence agreement, you must have two licences, as the programmes are in commercial use.
  5. Hi @Vizim You can install the programmes on as many computers as you control for private use. An internet connection is required to activate the programmes. The Serif Affinity Store account details must be used for activation. However, if you use one computer for personal use and the other for business, you will need a separate licence for each computer and programmes.
  6. Hi @eag310 and welcome to the forums. For private use, you only need one (universal) licence. You can install it on as many devices as you control. There are special offers for educational institutions and companies.
  7. Which version of Affinity Photo? If version 1, go to Edit -> Preferences -> Performance and disable hardware acceleration.
  8. For programmes, plug-ins or similar that require a programme path, the following tip may help. Third party integrations App Execution Aliases for all apps have been added (these names will work from anywhere, e.g. Run dialog, command line, etc): If you need to browse for a physical file, they are located in %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\WindowsApps called: AffinityDesigner2exe AffinityPhoto2.exe AffinityPublisher2.exe They can be enabled (default) or disabled in Windows Settings (search for "App Execution Aliases")
  9. Programmes from the Microsoft Store are stored in a protected folder and require special access rights (Trusted Installer). The default path is C:\Programmes\WindowsApps\. If you know what you are doing, you can temporarily change the access rights with the programme 'TakeOwnership'. After you have done what you wanted to do, you should use the programme to set the rights back to the original state. Download link: Click here to download the file
  10. Hi @mcribble This info may help! 11. This has a big advantage. Updates can be delivered in smaller batches. Only the files that have an older revision level need to be downloaded instead of the programmes as a complete package. And if there is an increased need for security, I recommend a Raspberry Pi with Adguard Home or Pi-Hole.
  12. Hi @JaneV When you start the programmes for the first time, you should be asked whether you want to migrate assets, brushes, etc. from V1.
  13. Oh yes, it's terrible. I would have loved to draw pictures on my OnePlus SmartWatch!
  14. It's not a bug, The programmes also work excellently with the pointed corners.
  15. Hello @damaja There are no mouse shortcuts. You need a mouse with several buttons that can be programmed via the manufacturer's software. For example: https://whiteshark.gg/mice/alexander
  16. Hi @Stefan Schurm If you are using Windows, you can access the Autosave folder as described below. Press the Windows key + R. Enter %appdata%\affinity\ in the input line. Navigate to Application (Photo, Designer or Publisher)\1.0\autosave Copy the .autosave files that may exist, e.g. to My Documents. Change the file extension .autosave to .afphoto, .afdesign or .afpub Now you can view the copied files. If you are using Mac or iPad, I am sorry, it's not my workbench.
  17. Hi @Jacques Labarre There are two possibile solutions. 1. uninstall the last update and hide the updates with the Windows Show/Hide Utility. And then suspend updates in Windows. This is the solution recommended by Serif. https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/53184.show-or-hide-updates-utility-fixing-automatic-installation-of-a-problematic-update-in-windows-10-version-1903.aspx or you use the second method, which I prefer, as possible security holes remain closed. Open the directory in which the Affinity programmes are installed. As a rule, C:\Programme\Affinity\(Desinger ...Photo ...Publisher) Search and open the .exe.config file (for example Designer.exe.config) with a text editor. Search for "<add key="IsVirtualizingStackPanel_45Compatible" value="true"/>" Replace the value true with the value false. Save the file (administrative rights are required to overwrite!)
  18. Hi @repingracoon Obviously you are making a mistake in your thinking. Raster brushes always have 'stairs' if they have rounded sides; this is due to the raster format. And even a seemingly rectangular brush with sharp, smooth edges will become pixelated at the edges if you rotate it by only one point on the central axis.
  19. Hallo @Chyara Nein es gibt für die aktuelle Version kein Update diesbezüglich, leider.
