  1. Hi @Sven Ironside I don't really understand the question. If you have an image file (pixel or vector) embedded in an Affinity Designer document, then you would have access to a copy. However, if you have only linked files, it looks bad, then only a data recovery program would help, which could recover the original file. However, this requires that no write operations were performed on the data carrier on which the original was stored.
  2. Hi @Dan987654 If you want to follow a post, you can click on the Follow button at the top of the page on the right side. EDIT: Sorry, have had not checked before, that you have do this procedure.
  3. Hi @Adam9393 and @Goofy For QR code generation, there are many websites that create codes for free. For example here: https://www.qrcode-monkey.com Watermarks can be created very well as an overlay asset.
  4. Hi @WiseOwl Affinity Publisher can't open ppp files natively. The best way is to export the files with PagePlus as PDF.
  5. Hi and welcome. Not at all. Files from V2 are not downward compatible. The reason is due to the fact that V2 handles some functions differently. You can export as pdf to open it with V1.
  6. Hello Sean, thanks for the info. Unfortunately it doesn't work even with the latest driver (31.0.101.4255). I'm just wondering why it worked without complaint until version 2.1.0.1714 with hardware acceleration.
_____________ Have you tried "Save as..."? What operating system and hardware are you using? I was able to merge and save both files on my system (Publisher beta 2.1.0.1732) without crashing.
  8. @ReyVersalles You can create artboards with Affinity Designer and save them as templates. These templates can be opened wonderfully with Affinity Photo.
  9. Hallo @PFFinity Einfach mit dem Mauzeiger in auf das Wertefeld zeigen und mit dem Scrollrad der Maus den Wert ändern. Photo_a9e7W4jpj6.mp4
  10. Hi @EmT Unfortunately, there are no crash reports. And under %userprofile%\.affinity\Photo\ there is no 2.0 (beta) directory. The directory is created under %appdata%\affinity\photo\2.0 (beta). Maybe the backtrace dump will help you. Log.txt 0d8c5839-0633-42aa-8d7a-ca7ae4df6cf6-dump.dmp
  11. I have tried it myself and it works great. Something like this as a plugin for Affinity Photo would be nice.
  12. Yes I could, but it was only one folder per program in the Windows Programs folder. I had also deleted all other directories of the beta versions to have a clean reinstallation. I had already done a clean reinstallation with the .1714. The error does not occur. Only after the update to the .1730 I could only select document presets of the categories "printer ready" and "architecture". With Affinity Photo it is now so that the start selection box is no longer displayed. I first have to disable hardware acceleration by holding down the ctrl key. See the gif video.
  13. Hi @Tony Reidsma This was certainly not done with just one brush. It is also difficult to assess whether the image was created using pixel or vector painting techniques. Possibly the object was also created with a 3D editor
  14. Hi @EmT I install the msi versions. And the programs are not moved by me. What I do not understand is that the programs worked with hardware acceleration until version .1714. Since the update to the .1730/32 I have to disable hardware acceleration. And in the meantime, there were no driver updates for the graphics card either.
  15. Hi @MikeTO Hello thank you for your help. Unfortunately deleting the settings file did not help. @EmT On my system the directories with preference and configuration files are stored in two positions. Namely in \AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\2.0 (Beta) and in my user directory \.affinity\Photo\2.0 (Beta). I am also wondering why the uninstall dialog of Windows shows the beta installations twice, even though they were installed only once!
  16. @MikeTO All presets are stock With Affinita Photo, I can only select presets from the "Printer Ready" category. With Affinity Publisher and Designer, I can also select Web and Architecture. Affinity Photo already closes when I click from New to Samples or Other and back to New on the home screen. Even after resetting (ctrl), clicking on New causes Affinity Photo to close immediately. I now have disabled hardware acceleration on all three programs out of desperation. And now I can select all categories in the programs. I am wondering why the programs worked with hardware acceleration active prior version .1730?
  17. Possibly this problem has been addressed before, but my search did not find any corresponding threads. Since the update to version .1730, I can only recreate documents from the "Print ready" category. When trying to create a new document from all other categories, the dialog box closes and after a few seconds the programs close as well. Also, I can no longer open existing documents, the programs show the open status in the upper right corner and then close after a short time without error log. Neither a reset with ctrl nor an uninstallation including a manual deep clean and reinstall did not help. For counter-testing, I uninstalled all programs of version .1730 again and then installed version .1709. With this version I could then create new documents again and/or open existing ones. After I have updated again to the version .1730, I can create as described at the beginning, again only documents from the category " Print ready ". I also find it strange that I had to reactivate after the update to the .1730. Tested with .msi version.
  18. Quite simple. Because I don't own an Abacus.
  19. Well, if there are no differences, except for the lack of data merge, I can go back to being lazy again. 🖖🏼
