we are still far from AI in professional jobs but AD works with a different approch and I love it. Maybe, we need to wait a couple of years but I'm quite sure that AD will replace AI also in the professional sphere. The current version works well and I'm also able to share files ( in PDF editable) with some other profesisonals with AI ( with some liumitaitons ) but it works :)

PS. Unfortunately, few professionals use Affinity, because those tools that offer Affinity are very convenient and useful. I had to do some projects in the sketch, to be honest, I went back to adobe. But when I saw Affinity, I fell in love with the first opening of the program. Yes, there is still something to work on, but what already shows potential, and I'm not afraid to say - Affinity already stands on the head of all the monsters in this direction. I love Affinity Designer!   The trends will change - but the products of such quality as Affinity - will remain and will win their part of the professionals!

Okay I've figured it out. "Embed ICC profile" needs to be OFF in the export settings.

1. It will be nice if you can change the color stroke with the right click on the color panel
2. Allow Left Click and Right Click  to be used in Keyboard shortcuts combinations

Unfortunately there are few professionals in the forum. A professional section of the forum would be useful. If you work on app mockups then you should know  HYPE PRO, AD does not allow you to animate mockups, while Hype

well that's no surprise these things are often seriously long and complicated and it gets worse if they are not written in your language and we have gotten quite used to just clicking okay. there really should be in general everywhere a short and easy to understand outline that explains everything important without all the complex legal wording and stuff

Having fun with the new Photo 1.6 beta and Blender texture painting workflow. Liking the new light UI in Photo too.
 
I'm using the file path option in Blender's preferences (see screenshot) so it's a one click jump to Photo for painting.
 
Then just save in Photo, jump back to Blender and click reload image. Boom, couldn't be easier. :-)
 
Blender's internal texture painting is pretty good but not quite as dedicated yet as Photo is for this sort of stuff.

Although the text in the Glyph Browser is "pretty soft", it's quite legible. In the Typography panel, the sample text is still white and therefore pretty much illegible.

In general, I believe that the light UI needs work on contrast no matter what one does in the Preferences.
 
But the Glyph browser needs the text characters reversed to black...

Requirements: A valid product key, issued when Windows Affinity Designer version 1.5 was purchased.

This is the first beta of a substantial change to our codebase and as much as we have tried to ensure the quality of the code, it is considered to be not suitable for production use. This means that you should not attempt to use it for commercial purposes or for any other activity that you may be adversely affected by the application failing. In addition it is definitely worth noting that files created in Affinity 1.6 may not open in 1.5 so always make a copy of your important documents before opening them in 1.6 to ensure you do not accidentally overwrite them and are unable to open them in your 1.5 version.

We hope you enjoy the latest build, and as always, if you've got any problems, please don't hesitate to post here and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Thanks once again for your continued feedback.

Currently Analog Efex Pro 2, Color Efex Pro 4, Silver Efex Pro 2 work with Affinity Photo. HDR Efex Pro 2 only works partially.

Affinity Designer for Windows 1.6.0 is now live (this is an older thread).
 
We are pleased to announce the second update for Affinity Designer for Windows (version 1.5.3).
 
The update can be downloaded from here. Once downloaded, close Affinity Designer and run (double click) the downloaded EXE to install it.
 
A list of the fixes this release contains is being prepared and will be posted shortly.
 
To install this version you will need to have the Affinity Designer for Windows already installed OR you will need to type in your email address and a valid Product key when prompted. When installing on top of an existing version you will not be prompted for the product key. If you need it you can find your product key (and a download button) in your Affinity store account, where you will also find the email address used to generate the key when you ordered the software. 
 
If you have installed any previous customer beta version of Affinity Designer 1.5.3, that beta can be safely uninstalled before or after installing this release update, they are independent installs. The beta will stop working soon anyway.
