FriendDesign got a reaction from Tori in Select by color and object
I would like to know if there is such an option as "Selection by color or object." I need to change one color in an open project to another  . Manually it is uncomfortable to do for a long time :( . I very often use these functions in the illustrator. The choice of color and object does not pay due attention in all similar projects, and this function allows you to reduce time and money  .
I would very much like this feature to be awarded, or similar to it, for example the filter by color and outline, text and so on.
Thank you for your work, very much I hope for an answer. :)

FriendDesign got a reaction from jamesholden in Export PSD File with Editable Text
For me, this is not a problem - export to PSD, and then open in Photoshop or Affinity Photo and redirect the font, of course, if it does not take much time. And I do not really need it.

FriendDesign got a reaction from MEB in My new work - Mobile app - FitCurves
Thanks, I'm interested but I do not have a mac. Professionals are not born - they become;)
PS. Unfortunately, few professionals use Affinity, because those tools that offer Affinity are very convenient and useful. I had to do some projects in the sketch, to be honest, I went back to adobe. But when I saw Affinity, I fell in love with the first opening of the program. Yes, there is still something to work on, but what already shows potential, and I'm not afraid to say - Affinity already stands on the head of all the monsters in this direction. I love Affinity Designer! The trends will change - but the products of such quality as Affinity - will remain and will win their part of the professionals! -

Hi guys! For a long time did not go, the work has now fallen.
Yesterday I made a site for the client. Fast - about 30 minutes to work.
Thank you for constant updates and program improvements!
I want to congratulate the developers on their victory on Microsoft Developer Award!
All creative successes!

Silent Ocean - Campaign (2018)
While studying at SAE for my Bachelor of Design, I got the change to work on a social issue campaign around noise pollution in the ocean with the goal to make 10 posters around the campaign and ended up making 12 posters, 10 badges, art display piece, and a website.
This project was amazing to work on allowing myself to break out of my "normal design style" and really allow me to just play around with mix design, merging vector, paper craft, images and 3D together to create something amazing
Made with:
Affinity Photo (Mac + iOS (iPad Pro)
Affinity Designer
Autodesk Maya (for 3D)

FriendDesign reacted to Dazmondo77 in Chung tweaks
I couldn't help do a few tweaks to this as the first one had a few things that where bugging me - also have tried to add more of a sense of depth and movement

FriendDesign reacted to wgphoto in Noelani
This is a shot of Noelani from a recent beauty shoot. As is my current workflow for portraits, I did the RAW conversion and color grade in Capture One. Skin retouch and extra bits in Affinity Photo iPad.

Fantastic work Kevin as usual. The limited colour palette plus smooth shading works really well.
Thanks for sharing.

FriendDesign reacted to retrograde in Aboriginal Business Magazine - a recent isometric cover illo
Hi all Affinity-leaning creative types, here's a recent cover piece completed for a Canadian magazine entitled Aboriginal Business Quarterly based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The theme of this Spring 2018 issue is Transportation and Infrastructure in Northern Canada.
The snow and ice are finally melting, making way for a busy season of road work/maintenance and resupply shipping - by boat and float planes equipped with skis - supporting various remote communities and industries.
It's another example of my Affinity Designer isometric styled compositions built up using a limited colour palette, simplified elements and extensive use of gradients... And of course the awesome isometric grid feature.
For those interested, there are more views of this piece on my Behance site. Hope you like. :-)

Thank you so much! This is better than nothing, but the filter would be 100% useful addition to this wonderful program!

FriendDesign got a reaction from StuartRc in Website for ICO
Today I did the design of the next site. And I remembered about the wonderful program that I bought and did not regret, it's Affinity Designer! Very powerful tools for UI, Web and advertising layouts. This is not advertising, it's just a statement of facts. Having worked almost half a lifetime in design, I came to the conclusion that nothing lasts forever in terms of tools for the designer;). Times change and need too. Now many tools have been developed that help to realize their ideas, and Affinity Designer does not take the last place. It's good that developers pay a lot of time and effort to ensure that the user is as convenient and effective as possible! Having worked in Affinity Designer, I can not go back to similar products of competitors, the habit is such a thing =))
sorry for my english =))

Mad photo bash that turned into an 80's rock album cover or something. Becoming happy painting in Affinity Photo.

FriendDesign reacted to TonyJ in Scarab temple in progress. AP painting DAUB brushes
Going quite well. What do you think? Personally I get on with the brush engine. Would like a colour picker, ( floating colour wheel) but never mind.
Got about half way with this scene up to now.

FriendDesign reacted to urbanistica in Blogging the creation of my graphic novel in Designer
Hey everyone. I've just launched a blog that I'm using to chronicle the development of my graphic novel, Somerton Man.
While I'll be showing some final finished art down the road, the purpose of the blog is to document the creation workflow process. I have a suite of tools I use, that include Photo on both Mac and iPad, and Designer. I also use Concepts, Notes, Scrivener, Sketchup, MakeHuman, Skelly.... well, there's a list. But at the centre are the Affinity suite.
I'm inviting anyone interested to drop by and monitor the progress. I've got lots of good things to say about Designer, and a few criticisms, so I'm also open to ways of doing things more efficiently. There's also an FB page - working on getting that to update when the blog does.
My project is about using Designer as the central hub for bringing the project together. As such, this is only partly about virtuoso technique, but it's definitely about workflow and thinking out the stages of the book. If that's of interest, I'd love to hear your ideas.
Dan, Somerton Man Graphic Novel writer, artist.

FriendDesign reacted to Wikinger in Website for ICO
Bonjour.

I loved InDesign and after they started the subscription model I tried QuarkXpress and even Scribus, but they're not anywhere near where InDesign is. I'm eagerly awaiting what Serif comes up with for the DTP trade and have good hope it will be a decent program, bearing in mind the excellent job they did with AP.
