I've been waiting forever to have this in my Windows Machine.
I've imported about 10 different projects that I did on a friend's Mac installation of Affinity Designer  and they all opened in my Windows machine with this Beta with no complains.

We’re getting ready to launch the version 1.6 updates of Affinity Photo and Designer and we need your help!
 
To support all the marketing we do – web pages, videos, social media posts or in-app samples – it’s great to have photos and artwork which our users have created to show off the capability of our apps. So, we wanted to reach out to you to ask if you have any fantastic work you would be happy for us to use in this way. 
 
In addition to forming part of the publicity campaign to promote the possibilities of our apps to new users, you’ll receive a fee of US$300 to license each piece we use.
 
For our Affinity Photo marketing we mostly need incredible photos of any subject matter - landscapes, model shots, nature, architecture, weddings, sports, automotive, etc. Also any work which utilises focus stacking, HDR, panorama stitching, 360 images or full multi-layered compositions would be great too.
 
For Affinity Designer we need any work created in the app – illustrations, web / app mock ups, icons, logos, print projects, paintings, etc.

If you have created anything you think might be suitable, and as long as you are the copyright owner and hold all the rights to license the work to us, then please get in touch. You can send your photos or designs to consider to affinityart@serif.com.
 
A flattened PNG or JPG (or a link if you have a gallery on Behance, etc.) is fine at this stage, though if you’re successful we’ll ultimately need the full res image or Affinity file. Please keep your initial submission down to a maximum of five files but by all means let us know if have more. The closing date for submissions is 25th August 2017.

Thanks, installing now. (but for now i don't have any issue yet)

Downloaded and installed OK  Only one question. Why does it take so long (1min or longer) to compute available disk space? I can do it in seconds using Windows Explorer to check the properties of drive C:
 
The crashes that I experienced on opening PDF files are fixed and some other issues with super/subscripts.
 
The improvements makes it worth doing some more testing over the weekend.

In version 1.6.0.76 in Windows 7, when you save large files, there is no progress bar. When exporting large files, you do not see the progress bar.
I suggest adding only numbers with percentages on the progress bar and this will be very OK.

Matt. The Reset Fonts button in Preferences seems still not to work. If I activate a new font and go to reset, that font remains unavailable within AD. Resetting fonts in AD used to make any newly activated fonts available without the need to restart the app.

I cannot find the Ok (Print) | Cancel dialog buttons .

So I tried affinity photo with my wacom tablet. Sensitivity does not appear to work. I'm guessing that this feature just hasn't been put in yet? Would be really nice to have.
... Or I could just be not setting things right. I did vary the "firmness" from the wacom driver and it didn't seem to make a difference either.

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
The Light interface is only available in Photo/Designer 1.6 currently in Beta. If you want to give it a try you can download it from here (you must keep the retail version installed to be able to use the Beta but they are independent (settings) from each other. Alternatively just wait a little more for the 1.6 update.

Hi,
1. Open CR2 raw from Canon 6D (in my case)
2. On Master layer set +21% shadows, exposure +1.
3. Set -30% highlights, check if they are recovered. Then set highlight to 0%.
4. Add a brush overlay and mark some area that needs recovery.
5. In it, do -30% highlights. Notice it does not change anything, highlight are not recovered. Also the overlay remains red, you need to switch to Master layer to see these not working.
6. I'd send you the file and my settings, but not sidecar loading :c

Hi well i upload the gif when you copy element with ALT+drag and then copy with CRTL+J the copy doesn´t take the last element distance is a weird function it takes.

Would be fantastic to have a panel showing all the fonts used in file, the ability to select a font and make a substitution or replacement with the option to embed or at least find in finder so a person can package the font for print setters.

Man this one was serious, app shuts down instantly in some cases :O

When I try to close Designer I get the message as shown in the attachment. This also happened in the previous beta version. I have to use task manager to end the task.

Surface Pro 3 Win10
 
D/loading: no probs.
Installing: np probs, very fast, needs to be running Aero interface on 7 (?) to work
Operation: Flawless, responsive, did everything I threw at it.
No crashing.
Have d'loaded latest beta will install shortly.
