  1. You're welcome. Thanks for your support.
  2. Note the merge layer issue also affects Affinity Photo, not just Publisher's Photo Persona. I'm updating/bumping our log to bring this issue to dev's attention again.
  3. Hi @JNAZ Welcome to Affinity Forums Unless someone do the conversion for you (I do not have DrawPlus) there's no other app able to open the proprietary dpp Drawplus files.
  4. There's no quality degradation no matter if you use Affinity Photo or the Photo Persona in Publisher (other than the aforementioned merge layers issue which affects both) but if your work consist mostly in image editing you can use just Affinity Photo. It's not necessarily better in the sense that the results are better, it's just more suited/focused to photo editing work (and have a couple more dedicated features).
  5. The apparent image quality degradation you are referring to when switching to Photo Persona in Publisher is most likely due to the way we render things on screen in Photo Persona (and also in Affinity Photo). Text, images etc all are rasterised for screen display. If you are seeing them at a different zoom level other than 100% the difference in rendering becomes evident (for example the text becomes pixelated there despite being vector text). Same if you open the saved document in Affinity Photo (it equally rasterizes the image for screen display). Only Publisher and Designer render all objects without rasterisation thus they look a bit sharper there but there's no actual damage or quality degradation to the images. The merge layers operation is what indeed degrades the image quality due to an issue/bug (already logged with dev).
  6. HI @Parallasse, Welcome to Affinity Forums We are aware of the issues (blurring/quality degradation) when merging layers in Photo - this issue is logged with dev, but I'm not aware of quality degradation when switching Personas in Publisher (Publisher -> Photo). I will have to check if I can reproduce this here and will get back to you later. Thanks for your feedback.
  7. Hi @mswift, As was explained above this is not currently possible in Publisher. We do have exporting pages as independent PDF files logged as an improvement but it still needs approval to be actually implemented. I've updated/bumped the logs with your feedback. Thanks for your support.
  8. Thanks for your report @randomvectorstudio. This is indeed buggy both on macOS/iOS and Windows. I'm logging the issue to be looked at.
  9. Hi @randomvectorstudio, Welcome to Affinity Forums I've reproduced this here and I'm investigating the issue. Where did you bought the app originally? Affinity Store or Apple/Microsoft Store (depending on your OS)? (to let you know if you can revert back to a previous version).
  10. Hi @Catshill, Do you mind attaching the file for inspection please? Thanks.
  11. Hi @erdteil, From your description I thought you were looking for a way to create circular graphs/charts and similar objet types thus the suggestion to use the interactive shape tools. I've clearly misunderstood your post, my apologies. Are you requesting a stroke width tool/feature similar to Illustrator to create variable stroke width paths (where the width can be defined in percentages) ? I'm not sure it's this either... If you could elaborate a bit or show an example of the intended use...the ones you gave are a bit vague - circle segments and multicoloured contours (multiple strokes per object?)... Thanks for your feedback.
  12. Hi Goerge, Welcome to Affinity Forums Currently there's no feather effect available in Designer as in Illustrator or Xara Designer. You will have to recreate the effect manually using transparencies/FX or picking the Live Gaussian filter/built-in mask from Affinity Photo if you have it. I've requested this to the dev team some time ago and will bump the report to bring it up again to devs attention. Thanks for your feedback.
  13. Hi @Bruce Kennedy, Welcome to Affinity Forums Thanks for your report. What type of problems are you experiencing? It's also corruption lines as the users that posted above? Was it happening for you before the update (so with version 2.3.1)? Can you also post a screenshot of the Edit > Settings > Performance panel so we can see what graphic chip your system have please? If you are experiencing corruption issues when loading RAW files, in that some Performance panel, untick hardware acceleration. It should sort out the issue for you until we have a fix for the problem.
  14. Thanks for your support nectarine63, that's all I need. We are getting similar reports from other users and are investigating the issue. Me or someone else will get back to this post as soon as we have the issue fixed to let you know.
  15. Hi @charactersword, Welcome to Affinity Forums You can change it to a square clicking on the menu on the top-right of the Colour panel and selecting Square. Additionally you can also double-click the colour switcher in the Color panel (fill/stroke or foreground/background colour depending the program you are in) to open a larger Colour Chooser. Not sure if this is what you are looking for. Let us know if not.
  16. Thanks yes, but also what graphic cars the system have. As walt mentioned above going to menu Edit > Settings > Performance and taking a screenshot of the dialog will help. Thank you.
  17. Hello @Gabor Gosztonyi, Welcome to Affinity Forums This is something quite a few users have been requested. I can't guarantee this is implemented but I've updated/bumped the logs. Thanks for your feedback.
  18. Thanks everyone. Issue logged with the dev team (layers not being picked when using the Select All command).
  19. Hi @anto, everyone, Thanks for raising this issue. I'm taking this to the dev team for clarification.
  20. Hi @nectarine63, Welcome to Affinity Forums Thanks for reporting this issue. Do you mind attaching the original RAW file shown above in your reply for inspection please? Also what's your system specs (including graphics cards)? Turning off hardware acceleration in Affinity Settings Performance section will sort out the corruption issue until we have it fixed. Thanks for your support.
  21. @Hangman, Confirmed on Windows only. It's possible it's reproducible on macOS on non-retina displays but it's not confirmed at this point.
  22. Hi @Hangman, Thanks for taking a look. Yes, there's an issue here. I've noticed the problem yesterday night while I was testing another issue but haven't made a report yet. awakenedbyowls report brought it to my attention again. I didn't check what's going on with the iPad version, not sure it's the same issue. Will have to take a look at it as soon as I can.
  23. Hi @Rotes, Welcome to Affinity Forums I confirm the gridlines (grid & pixel grid) are indeed thicker on the latest version. I'm logging the issue to be looked at. Thanks for reporting this.
  24. Hi @awakenedbyowls, You're probably doing it without moving the mouse. I've noticed it does fail to switch if there's no mouse movement. If you move the cursor a bit before switching does it work for you?
  25. Hi @Jim Vormelker, The PSD is probably being imported without editable smart objects (they are rasterised on import). Unfortunately Publisher doesn't have the option to import PSD with editable smart objects in the General/Other section in the Settings. If you open the file in Designer enabling "Import PSD smart objects where possible" (Settings, General section under Other) then it should load the file correctly. Save it as an .afdesign file and open it in Publisher. This is logged with the dev team. Publisher should have this as an option as the other two apps. Sorry for the trouble.
