About Me

Hi,

I am from the English East Midlands, live in the south of England, have much Welsh blood and am partially human.

There's no point in stating my age, as whatever I say will be out of date before the following sentence. However, I hate the rapidity with which age increases and am turning into a grumpy old codger.

My photographic interests are filters. I love them. Forget cameras and certainly forget images - it's filters for me every time. Sometimes it's a grad, others a big stop but whichever, I probably have a fetish for them. Actually, that's untrue but a tad less tedious than the truth: I like good images. I know, don't we all?

I am very often to be seen taking photographs. But, in every other sense, I seldom consider myself a photographer. For me, a photographer is someone like Thomas Heaton. He's a photographer!

Once in a Blue Moon (!) I do take a decent photograph but, usually, I prefer to take the photographs shot into my computer and produce something quite different some hours later.

I have very inexpensive photography gear - have only just moved from a Fuji bridge to an entry-level Canon cropped DSLR. But, I am persuaded by those excellent photographer who insist the equipment is secondary to a good photographer. Mind you, in that case, why do they all seem to have £3,000 Canons or Nikons?

Ok, must focus on other work. Toodle Pip.
