I am currently evaluating AP. I am curious as to what is happening when I open an existing jpg file and save it as a native .afphoto file?
Original file:
5472 x 3648 x 24b JPEG 19495.0 KB
AFPhoto file:
512 x 341 x 32b AFPHOTO 19708.3 KB
I noticed the weird difference in file size while going through my files in a photo manager program. The AFPhoto comes up, but it's extremely smaller in viewing size (not physical size). I figured out that if I want to use the photo in presentation programs (Word, Powerpoint, etc.) I have to open the file back up in AF and export it as a JPG or a TIFF, which resumes the file to its original viewing size (5472 x 3648)
I only ask, because this wasn't mentioned in the OPEN/SAVE tutorial. That, and when viewing in anything other than AF, zooming in on the file produces extreme pixelation.
