  1. I'm new to AP and I only know the basics of Photoshop. I've used Illustrator for a few years. When I see photos in a brochure they all have the same 'feel' to them, like they were all made just for that brochure. I always thought that this was just the photographer getting a sort of look, but I am led to believe that this is a post photo process. The sort of thing I'm blabbing on about is like this: https://youtu.be/I9WYg_2vGOk Any idea where to start achieving this sort of thing with AD?
  2. Hi, I am importing a graphic into AD from AI and part of the graphic translates like this: The lower two images are what it looks like when the object is selected. Any ideas on how to resolve or recreate the AI graphic?
  3. Now the Save function has disappeared so I have to use Save As....
  4. Can you paste in place between artboards/slices? I can't seem to find a way.
  5. I'm starting to get p***ed offf with this now. It keeps crashing when I save it. EDIT: Never mind. I re-saved the second recovery file and it seems to have fixed itself.
  6. AD crashed on me. It saved a recovery file which I used. I saved the recovery file as something else. I cannot use the Save function now and have to use Save As.... The file is now Read Only. Any ideas?
  7. I feel daft now. Cheers, MEB. Is there anyway I can change the Bevel/Mitre setting as the default?
  8. In Illustrator you could change a line into a zig-zag or wavy line. You could change the number of segments and ridge size and shape Is there an equivalnet or what would be the best way to do this in AD? I'm trying to create an effect for a thread on a bolt.
  9. Everytime I draw a shape in AD it already has smooth corners. How do I either get rid of these, make them square or, preferably, turn the option off? EDIT: The same happens with the pen tool.
  10. Yeah, a bit like that. :D I like the area picker as well. Cheers IM.
  11. One thing Photoshop had which I always wanted in Illustrator was a colour picker that worked outside the program. I've not used Photo, but I think it would be a nice feature for both.
  12. Good stuff! I like that you have to hold another key to override snapping instead of holding a key to enable snapping. Thanks
  13. In Illustrator you could select an object and then copy it by holding Alt and dragging. Does Designer have a similar feature?
  14. Nice. And you can have different outputs on each artboard! :) Can I ask what the clipboard function is for?
  15. Long time Illustrator user trialing Designer. Enjoying what I'm seeing so far. :) In Illustrator you could export all Artboards as individual PNG/JPG/BMP files. Can, or will, Designer do this?
