  1. OK, cheers Mr W. Bit of a basic thing to leave out though, isn't it? How many people design documents that doesn't require text and images to flow with each other?
  2. I'm trying to add an image to my text flow in a table. Is this possible?
  3. Just a small request, but I like in AP and AD that you can right-click and have the paste options on the first menu that appears. In Publisher's case I would like Paste in Place, Paste without Format and Paste Special... It would also be nice to have the option of Paste in Place as default.
  4. I work for a company that produces various variations of tools. If I'm creating a bid document, for example, the only thing that changes is the tool name, some specifications, references and some images. Just changing this information on one page improves the workflow 10 fold.
  5. Are there plans to include Information text variables? In fact image variables would be amazing. Don't think even PagePlus does that?
  6. Is there a plan for one of these for Publisher? I find it useful on Designer and Photo so I don't end up repeating my 'unique' ideas.
  7. +1 I found PP as a result of the PDF designer. Incredibly, even today as a legacy program, nothing else even comes close to PP's abilities in this area.
  8. Ah, yes. They were all there in the Layers panel, but strangely only two had the Layer is exported check mark next to them. I selected the culprits and created a slice for them all which seemed to work. It's never done that before though; normally they are automatically checked/created. Not sure I've done anything different.
  9. I can't seem to export my artboards; they just don't show up in the Export persona. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Just created a blank artboard (Artboard1) and that seems to work. Any ideas?
  10. Is there a plan to support PDF form creation similar to PagePlus?
  11. I'm guessing it's already being worked on as it was a strong feature of PagePlus.
  12. I am trying to create a hole in a shape using the Operations. When I create the hole using the Subtract operation, it changes the line weight of the hole to match the object it's subtracting from. For example: Does anyone know if I can I retain the line weight somehow?
  13. I'm looking forward to seeing it just so I can moan about it not being as good as PagePlus.
  14. I thought it might. Still, brings it to the fore again. Cheers, Markio.
  15. I would have thought this had been covered, but it's a feature I'm keen on seeing, so I'll risk suggesting it again. The Dash Line Style in Stroke is flexible but struggles to give a neat finish on shapes. For example: AD can only produce Image A, but other leading software can intelligently convert it (on the fly actually) to Image B.
  16. It doesn't matter. Call it right/left, inside/outside, 1/2, grapefruit/strawberry. As long as there's a visual representation, it's fine, surely? EDIT: And why does my AD leave the purple selection box on objects?!
  17. Just leave it as inside and outside; if you pick the wrong side it's not a massive operation to click the other icon, is it? I mean, it doesn't really matter; as long as there is a visual representation.
  18. That is the case, yes. Thanks MEB. But... Just checked and it's the same in Illustrator. Would be a nice option to have, or at least grey out the Align options.
  19. For some reason I just cannot grasp how to join a line. I know in theory you just drag a line to the end of another or use the Join curves command, but I just can't make it work. What am I doing wrong?
  20. I don't think it's going to happen. Shame as, like many on here, I'd love to ditch Adobe. At the moment I import my file into Draftsight and then export to SVG, DWG/DXF, whatever. It imports and exports pretty much all iterations of DWG/DXF as well. Nice little program.
  21. Thanks again, that works well. But again for the future something more elegant is required. Changing the gradient would mean selecting all objects individually again. Thanks
  22. @carl123 That works well, ta. Would like to see something a bit more elegant in the future as this means me grouping across artboards.
  23. I have created a pattern that I have used as a bitmap for a gradient fill in an object. I have adjusted the handles so the pattern is orientated and sized how I would like it. Is there a way of copying this to another object with the orientation and size intact? Or is there a numeric input somewhere?
