    Old PDA

Like GarryP , for a few moments I couldn't work out why you had posted a photo of your PDA, nor how it still looked brand new after 17 years use. Remarkable: the plastic front looks so ... plastic! And that font is delicious. Bravo
  2. Thank you, Wosven. I'm Win 10 on Firefox, so it would seem it's these browsers that don't like to show mp4 files. Everything else is fine. Thanks for the download tip; I didn't know it was an option. R
  3. Thanks for the reassurance, Alfred. I think Wosven has provided a possible answer. R
  4. Thanks, firstdefence. Still nothing showing in the post; but I was able to right click, download, then view the mp4 file offline. R
  5. If it's easily done, then yes. But not if it's a bother. I don't know why the video(Gif) wasn't recognised. That hasn't happened before. R
  6. firstdefence I couldn't see anything in your last post. I'm on a Windows machine. Could that be it? All your other posts have been fine (and super interesting, of course!). R
  7. MartinsRibeiro, You couldn't hope for a better explanation than that! Bravo, owenr.
  8. Excellent, yet again! Thank you for your generosity.
  9. Hi John Any idea how the issue disappeared? Was it in Preview or Affinity, and what did you do? I have a similar issue with colour balance for jpegs between Affinity and ACDSee. R
  10. !! I 'm so glad I asked... There is absolutely nooo way I could have worked all that out by myself! Thank you so much for this step-by-step. Now to give it a whirl. R
  11. Thanks @Fotoloco Isolating colour to the low pass layer will finally make frequency separation properly useful. Does anyone happen to have a step-by-step idiots guide as to how to accomplish this? R
  12. Thanks @Mithferion for sharing such a great video. It's always useful to step back from the details and get the artistry right first. A useful reminder to keep it simple.
  13. @firstdefence Thanks for swooping by with your advice! Yet another of your trademark replies: considered, supremely comprehensive, and offering plenty of food for thought. Excellent help as ever. Now it's time to count the pennies. R
  14. Hi @firstdefence Any suggestions as to which drawing tablet to buy? It could be time to give my mouse a rest. R
  15. Now I'll never get any work done. ... Ever again! But what a wonderful place to visit. Lovin' it
  16. Phil_rose re: NSFW Don't worry. Your clothing options are perfectly suitable for work. Although admittedly here in our office we rarely dress quite so formally unless we're meeting clients. R P.S. Incidentally, for next year's calendar we're still missing a few images. As you've already made the effort to finish off your outfit with a star, will you be happy for us to pop you on top of the Xmas tree for December?
  17. @firstdefence Your Fractal Kaleidoscope Gif should come with a health warning! I've just lost half the morning being mesmerised by it... I eventually regained consciousness slumped in the chair with my chin on the mousepad. It's just too beautiful to look at. -Caution: Do not drive or operate heavy machinery in its presence.- ...however, I do thank you so much for posting it!
  18. Hi gewoonm Are you able to re-photograph your drawing and expose it so the paper appears white? i.e. increase the exposure by 1.5 to 2 stops? This will obviously be a better place to start from if you want the final image to accurately reflect your drawing.
  19. @simgonzalo Welcome to the forum. As you are asking for help, re-posting this topic in the Questions section (Forum: Home -> Questions) will allow more users to see it and then (hopefully) give you some advice. I will be just as interested as you to read the responses. All the best. R
  20. Hi I can't see the history either; though from the af.file, firstdefence's actions are clearly discernible. But yes, Save History with Document is ticked in the file. I'm on Windows 10.
  21. @flashgirl Welcome to the forum. Glad to see you've sorted the problem. Any other questions you have can be posted in the Questions section (Forum: Home -> Questions). This will allow more users to see them and give you help. All the best.
