  1. Agree. I got the workbook for Publisher and am reading it now. It mentions this, page 68. Seems to be coming in an update soon (in Affinity Designer, and therefore also in Publisher)
  2. Thanks to walt.farrell in another thread (A solution for implementing the Polish dictionary) for informing me that it is not good practice to place dictionaries under the C:\Program Files\... folder (because it will be deleted upon upgrading the app) and that I have to use the C:\ProgramData\ folder. Thanks also to Walt Farrell together with Joachim L. (in the above-mentioned thread) for informing I was selecting the wrong destination folder from with the Publisher Preferences/Tool. I was wrongfully selecting C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Common\1.0\Dictionaries\da_DK. The right one is C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Common\1.0\Dictionaries\. Having corrected this, everything works fine. Have a nice day! Henrik
  3. Wow!!! Having been focused on the Windows Finder path, I took for granted that I simply would have to point to that from within Publisher's preferences/ tools. And when you, Joachim, mentioned "The Additional dictionary folder" I simply took it as designating a folder within Windows Finder (and not that specific place within the Publisher's preferences/ tools). I have corrected it. The preferences/ tool now poin to C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Common\1.0\Dictionaries. And it works! Thanks so much to Walt and Joachim! Henrik
  4. Thanks. Downloaded, unipped, substituted the old folder (with subfolder and files) with the folder with the files from you. Selected the new folder from within Publisher. Restartet. No change.
  5. Hi Joachim, The folder structure (C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Common\1.0\Dictionaries\da_DK\da_DK) is indeed what I tried earlier today before Walt suggested using the one shown in the video above here (C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Common\1.0\Dictionaries\da_DK\da_DK). It didn't work for me
  6. Hi Walt, I have implemented that folder structure (C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Common\1.0\Dictionaries\da_DK\da_DK). Selected it from the Preferences/ Tools. Restarted the app (as well as the computer). It still does not work. Please see the video. Any suggestions? Henrik Dic_not_working_using_new_path.mp4
  7. Hi Wat, Thanks for your input. I now tried out placing the dictionaries in the folder within the C:\ProgramData\... It does not work. Please see video attached. If it works for me having the dictionaries inside the C:\Program Files\... could I not simply do that and then keep at backup of the dictionaries in case they get deleted? 8. Thanks for your work and input, Lagarto. (Your post was posted as I was writing my reply to Jowday above). Yes, the file placement seems to be different (in this case at least), that is in the folder C:\Program Files\... rather than C:\ProgramData\.... Thanks also for your other valuable input. Henrik
  9. Thanks Jowday! I learned from you that the folder and dictionaries here should not be placed here:C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Common\1.0\Dictionaries\da_DK, but rather here: C:\Program Files\Affinity\Publisher\Resources\Dictionaries\da_DK. Now the dictionary and the hyphenation works perfectly in Publisher. So happy!!! So what could be of interests to others is that the placement of the folder and file is not C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Common\1.0\Dictionaries\da_DK (as explained in the link above ([FAQ] How do I add additional Dictionaries to Affinity Publisher?) but rather C:\Program Files\Affinity\Publisher\Resources\Dictionaries\da_DK. I do not know why, perhaps you do, walt.farrell? Anyway, as this works for some of us, it... works for us. I also installed it for Designer using C:\Program Files\Affinity\Designer\Resources\Dictionaries\da_DK. The dictionary works fine in Designer. For some reason, the hyphenation does not work, but that is not important for the way I use Designer (as long as it works within Publisher). So nice! Thanks! Henrik
  10. In case this is of use for others: I managed to get this to work (Danish language) by doing the following, a bit different than the guide provided in the link above ([FAQ] How do I add additional Dictionaries to Affinity Publisher?). Do not place the folder and dictionaries here: C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Common\1.0\Dictionaries\da_DK Place the folder and dictionaries here: C:\Program Files\Affinity\Publisher\Resources\Dictionaries\da_DK The difference being that it is not C:\ProgramData\... but rather C:\Program Files\... Henrik
  11. Thanks for sharing your experience and efforts. After trying everything out following the exact procedure from above, I still cannot get the spelling dictionary and hyphenation to work in Affinity Publisher. The language I want to use is Danish. Years back I upgraded to the at that time new Serif Page Plus X9 exactly because it introduced the option of using hunspell dictionaries. It was easy to install (see image below) and it worked flawlessly with regard to spelling and hyphenation. Having then shifted to Affinity Publisher I am not able to install the hunspell dictionaries. It is necessary for me to be able to have spelling control and hyphenation in Danish in order to really use Affinity Publisher. Any suggestions? Kind regards, Henrik
  12. Oh my God, I overlooked that!!! I have been sitting struggling with it for more than an hour! Thanks, Palatino
  13. I can not see where to add printer marks. See attached screenshot of (1) Export Settings (2) More. Anyone got an idea why?
  14. Wow, thanks! I was expecting that I could do it that way, but could,'t see it. Must have been looking at the default one! Thanks, Dan!
  15. How do you delete a table format? Using table formats in the Table Formats Studio tab, you can end up having loads of formats. So the need to delete obsolete ones arises. How do you delete table formats?
  16. For Affinity Photo, one can simply either use (of course depending on the case) Studio Tab/ Adjustment/ Black & White Develop Persona Tone Mapping Persona
