  1. Hello @Addlet, Welcome to the forum. I suspect that your JPG files have been placed, and are now image files that are not editable in Photo. The placed files must be rasterised so that they are editable. I hope this helps Cheers test-2 pdf.pdf
  2. @firstdefence, has shown how to tackle the problem. Here is a variant with frequency separation, which shows that the frequency separation in Affinity Photo works similarly to PS. Cheers Fengdong-.afphoto
  3. Hello @R C-R, I have checked again, no matter which document unit is selected, the Marquee Tools shows the unit of the document. I think that's how it should be. Maybe a bug in the Mac version? I use the Windows Version. Cheers
  4. If the document is displayed in cm as described above, the Marquee tool will also be displayed in cm, (and is editable) or did I misunderstand? see tranform panel. Cheers
  5. Hello @kratzbaumkordel, Welcome to this forum. I suspect that the Layer is protected. A screenshot with all the settings visible could help understand the problem. Cheers
  6. Still a Bug with Perspective Tool when duplicate the Perspective layers both in the current beta and in the retail version. Cheers
  7. Hello @timshel, Hello timshel, for me is the problem with the overlay brush is fixed in the current beta version. No matter which bitmap format I use (jpg, tiff etc.) as well as portrait and landscape format, the overlay brush works as expected. Walt pointed out above, try the current beta version. Cheers
  8. Hello @ACPhillips, I would draw a rectangle on and fill it with the faber of choice. Then nest the SVG file with the rectangle. I do not know if there are other methods. cheers PSS LOGO w URL - WHITE - SVG.afdesign
  9. Hi @TEcHNOpls, the same here as you described, but disable and again enable force pressure, then it works as expected. Indeed very strange. Happy Christmas
  10. Hello @Gypsy Lobster, Welcome to this forum. Have a look here, it is well described. Cheers
  11. Hello @PatPro, welcome to this forum. I don't think it's your tablet, it's probably a bug in Affinit Photo. Try the following. Enable High Precision in Preferences-Tools - Tablet Input Methode, or use the latest beta version (1.10.5.1227) click here. I hope this helps. Ps. there are new drivers from Huion Cheers
  12. Hello @mzfp Welcome to the Forum. I think you still have the Move Tool active, deselect the Move Tool and you can edit the Nodes as described by Walt. Cheers
  13. Hello @Johann Dietz, I downloaded your file, what confuses me a little is that it is an Affinity Photo file. But no matter, I think you are not using the correct brush tip. If you're working in designer, switch to the pixel persona, and choose a brush tip for the eraser from the basic collection. That should solve the problem. The same applies to Affinity Photo. Cheers
  14. Hello @Scott_11A, I have edited the Image Quick and Dirty. For better control of the work steps,I proceed as follows. 1. duplicate the image and make a perspective correction. 2. Created a new layer and removed the candle with the clone tool and inpainting tool. Make sure that in Settings, Current Layer and Below is activated. 3. Left side of the cat, same procedure as Nr.2 (Created a new layer and .......) 4. Created a new layer for the Cat-whiskers, these are drawn with the Paint Brusch and adjusted with the Gaussian blur. The final step, merge the edited layers and and sharpen with the high pass filter (Blend Mode Hard Light or Soft Light) Cheers new_modified_current-1.afphoto
  15. Hi @leo vina, Welcome to this forum. I think the problem will be with the Alpha Protect option, uncheck the Protect Alpha option, then the masking with the brush tool should work as usual. Cheers
  16. Hello @Dr_No, i would draw a grid with the pen tool and and save it as an asset. This asset can then be placed over a layer and thus be treated as a separate layer. I hope this helps. Cheers
  17. Hello @TheMetaFace, I use a Huion H1060P tablet, without any problems. Is the latest driver installed? click here. Set in Preferences-Tools on HIGH PRESION, then all pen-button settings should work. Disadvantages is, two points are set when the pencil is placed on the tablet. Is set in Preferences-Tools Windows INK, then pen-button do not work. This should be known to Serif, it has been reported several times a long time ago. Cheers
  18. Hi @cabinfeverclay, I use a Huion Inspypiroy 1060 P without problems in Affitiy. Maybe it helps if you update the driver for the Huion Tablet, click here. Cheers
  19. Hello Philip, very strange indeed. I did the following. The Grey Layer erased The Layers with the FFP-Mask duplicated High-Pass-Filter applied and merge, set these layers to blend mode vivid Light or hard Light. see attachments Cheers face-mask-2.afphoto
  20. Hi Philip, the high-pass filter works fine for me. My method of approach 1. open the Image 2. duplicate the Image 3. apply High-Pass-Filter 4. merge the Filter and set the image to the desired blend mode 5. or set the filter layer (high-pass filter) to the desired blend mode. I hope this helps Cheers
  21. @Charlotte721 welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Some suggestions have already been made. I would do it this way. Steps: 1. The wing mirrors layer (right) and the Background layer combined into one layer, and rename copy-bachground. 2. Select the layer copy-background , then Filter- Color-Remove White Paper. 3. Click with the left mouse button + CTRL on the Thumbnail (a selection is created. 4. Created a new fill layer. 5. Choose a colour of your choice. 6. Group the layers copy-background and the new-fill-layer and deselect the selection. Is a little more elaborate,I hope this helps. Cheers campervan outline BW-2.afphoto
