In case you have opted for a white background, there's a menu entry Filters - Colours - Erase White Paper, which will do the job. If there are other white elements in your logo you may want to protect them first, i.e. by using the selection brush and then inverting your pixel selection.
If your background happens to be black, you can invert the layer (Command+I) first, do the above exercise and then reverse.

Welcome to the forums.
If you have used Affinity Designer, select the Move Tool, on the Context Toolbar will be an option for Document Setup, Click this. Now switch to the Colour section and enable Transparent background and click OK.
If you have used Affinity Photo is may be easier for you to create a new blank document with a transparent background. Then open your project and copy the design and paste it into the new document.
