I was wondering if it would be possible to add presets or custom guides in the manager. I'd love to be able to quickly load a 12 column grid into my Guide Manager without having to go through and painstakingly create presets for every screen size that I may be developing for. Overall, the 12 column grid is an industry standard so it just seems like a feature that'd really be wonderful for Designer. I had checked this video before posting, but the « locations » button doesn’t exist anymore in iOS 11.
When you tap « import from Cloud », it now opens the Files app, and you only get « On my iPad » and « iCloud drive » options there. When you edit the locations, there is no other cloud options available...

As of now, the update is not visible in the German App Store!

I would like to use the same workflow I used to work with Photoshop. When I open for example Jpeg image in the editor, I can edit it with the same tools as I edit the raw images.

OK, so it's useless as far as my needs are concerned. I'll continue using it as a stand-alone app and I'll be waiting for the future HDR tool promised for AP.

I found in some post on forum moderator opinion that OLE (Object Linking and Embedding or something like that) will be limited to only Affinity Publisher.

I think great idea is get ability to make simultaneous edition in Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo. For example in Affinity Designer we create portfolio frame and in Affinity Photo we edit photograph in Liquify Persona. I understand programming question but from my perspective of usability of application working together by linking it's a big step. I think Affinity Published could take advantage too - in place duplication a lot of feature of other parts of suite it can be more oriented on hyphenation and typicall typography issues. Linking files in AD, AP i APu get advantage thinking more about on design in place witch application choose. At hypothetical scenario we think about interesting way to create portfolio using Liquify Twirl Tool and vector frame with ability see final effect in real time.
 
It would be feature for next 2.x generation.

Uhhh, just heard about the release of the final version. Can't believe that this buggy version can be a success. If the massive Bugs with the resizing function won't fixed, unfortunately a purchase makes no sense for me. :(

Hi everyone, 
This build includes support for high precision tablet input. We are now using features of the Wintab API which we weren't previously using, so driver problems may emerge that may have previously gone undetected. 
 
Wacom drivers have been known to exhibit problems if one is installed without uninstalling the previous one. 
If you experience tablet input problems in this build, please help us rule out this as a cause by uninstalling the Wacom driver and then reinstalling the latest driver.  
 
We will shortly be releasing a new build containing a preference to revert to the previous low precision tablet input method.

Hi guys and wonderful Moderators,
 
I know it's been probably said in a few posts but I'd like to list some of what I think are a few of the most needed features in AP.

1. refine masks uusing levels and curves, this is the most important thing, I'm not talking about refine edges or similar, I'm saying that once you created a mask
    to have the possibility to open a curve or levels adjustement for that mask to refine its range, as things are now we are pretty much stuck with the mask as it is at the moment of                         creating it, I just refuse to believe such thing is not available in AP, it's a foundamental feature, I mean AP has equations, EQUATIONS!!! and we can't put in this feature?
 
2. Some sort of luminosity masks panel, YES I'll ask for it for as much as it takes, even if it means having you put one in out of desperation for not having to read my every post about  it.
   And I mean a full fledged LM panel, not the select midtones/shadow/highligh thingy, I mean a zones system/varying degrees of shadow/midtones/highlight selection though masks maybe.
  Seriously the channel way of doing it manually as it is now is cumbersome and uneffective, resterize layer to mask? really guys? nice feature but let's just step it up.
 
3. color picker when using the HSL tool

4. More color selection well...selections, blue, red and green are not enough really, maybve axpand to yellow, cyan, magenta.
 
5. slice tool to percentage or exact slices, as of right now I find the slice tool really...casual and amateur, would be nice to tell AP to: 'slice the image in 3 part vertically', insted of the free hand tool, which is pretty much useless imo.

6. suggestion for 3 filters, one is the tonal contrast equivalent, would be nice and save a lot of time having some sort of tonal contrast in the live filters, baybe a dynamic brightness too.
    your glow filter, nice idea, but poorly implemented all it does is blow out the highlight, maybe making it s that it protect saturation and luminance in some way, that's be nice.
 
7. create a panorama out of the opened files, same goes for hdr, it's really bothersome having to export all images before having AP create a new pano.
 
7 1/2, come on guys, let's just have an 'align layers' option, I don't know if i'm doing somehing wrong but stack create stack in the arrange panel doe snot align anything if you're not opening a brand new set of images, we need to align layers in an opened file.

Thank you guys for this platform in which you allow us to give suggestion, I know i may sounfd just like the usual run of the mill whyny customer, but I do complain because I believe in this software and its possibility.
Seriously though, take into consideration these suggestion, let's not just trail behind Photoshop, let's make a clear jump foreward.

AP 1.5.2.66 (Beta) crash on Windows with Wacom Tablett, Bamboo Driver V5.3.0-3.
 
First:
 
- Manualy uninstall the previous beta (in system control)
- Install AP Beta 1.5.2.66   -> (no error messages)
 
---
 
1. Start AP Beta   (First: Wacom Pencil moves normally)
2. Create new Picture or open an existing picture  (does not matter)
3. Center the picture with the hand tool  -> Movement with a tremble effect
4. Select the brush tool and move brush on canvas
 
Result:
 
The brush tip moves in a different place on the picture -> then AP crash immediatly.

I'm a UI designer in a mobile games development company.
We use Unity and NGUI as our UI framework.
All UI elements are sprites even if it is simple square.
Pretty all elements created to be 9-Sliced (when you scale a sprite - its corners do not scale). This functionality is essential for all UI frameworks (even HTML)

I can say for sure if you do - I will immediately switch from PS to AfD.
 
Our team workflow is (example names used):
 
  1. Design an element and give it appropriate name (http://service.crazypanda.ru/v/clip2net/V/v/aNCQ1yj6tg.png)
  2. Convert an element to a Smart Object and drop it into appropriate Creative Cloud Library (Atlas_Panels) so all teammates could use it. (http://service.crazypanda.ru/v/clip2net/x/f/5ZzKG4sNJB.png)
  3. Place this Cloud Smart Object into a special Atlas_Panels.psd document and give a layer name a ".png" suffix. (http://service.crazypanda.ru/v/clip2net/S/e/m8DTluWUiv.png)
  4. This PSD document continuously exports all assets into Perforce folder (http://service.crazypanda.ru/v/clip2net/T/0/lsCO6FBzgg.png)
  5. Another designer uses an element from the Library and it is 100% the latest version!
 
This workflow is really good. BUT!
If you have Icons atlas - it is ok.
If you have Art atlas it is ok as well.
But if you have Panels atlas it's not ok because each designer have to drag-drop element sources from the library so he/she could resize it properly (http://service.crazypanda.ru/v/clip2net/B/3/jgLKglo7VF.png)
And as a result there is no guarantee that this certain panel is "100% latest" in all windows\screens.
 
If you can provide similar workflow I will push a company-wide decision on switching to Affinity (after couple test-runs of course  :) )

When open an image with an Adjustment layer (Selective Color) which was edited in PS, the colors - especially yellow - looks odd. Unchecking the "Relative" box does not change a thing. I'm able to get a similar effect result with the same layer when I switch from "Relative" to "Absolute" for yellow in PS, see attachment.
Upper left PS as it should be, lower left PS with "Absolut" checked and to the right how it appears in Affinity Photo, regardless if "Relatvie" is checked or not.

I've noticed something I can\t exactly pinpoint where does this happen but maybe, you'll be able to pinpoint the problem.
 
I have the option to reopen the files I had open before set in options. (not sure if this is the option or new beta)
 
When I close AP, and then reopen by double-clicking on on of the files I had opened before that, I sometimes get two copies of the file in tabs, one is ok, the other is marked as [read-only].
It is usually preceded by a question if I want to use a recovery copy (this suggests that it marked a saved file as improperly saved).
These seems to be sometimes a delay, and I have to open the file, start editing and then try saving it and I get another tab with a a read-only copy of that file.
 
Hope this helps you in pinpointing this error.

Is it just me or brushes / drawing with them just feels slower compared to non beta build ?

I too much prefer the original icons. The icons give a visual message of what they do, especially the Publisher icon compared to the new version. Why does AFFINITY have to follow a trend? Most thing come round full circle and only dead fish swim with the current.
I hate to criticise as I am a great fan of AFFINITY and the way you guys interact with users.

Currently Analog Efex Pro 2, Color Efex Pro 4, Silver Efex Pro 2 work with Affinity Photo. HDR Efex Pro 2 only works partially.
