  1. @GabrielM ok, I ended up exporting the file to an SVG and then used the search functionality in Inkscape. I would really like this feature or at least some scripting support so I could implement it myself as I will probably need to use it a lot in the future. Thanks.
  2. Hello, I have a situation where I have ~650 layers, all well named that I need to search through quickly to hide/show for different permutations of an image. Is there a way I can either sort the layers alphabetically to find them more easily or search for them. Thanks.
  3. Thanks, that seems to be a good option, however, I need to export about 20 things from one document so is there any quicker method?
  4. Hello, Is it possable to export a certain layer of an image whilst preserving the dimensions of the entire document? i.e. the layer would be exported as a PNG and where parts of the layer are not present it would just be fully transparent. I hope this makes sense. Thanks. P.S. If you don't understand, please say and I will try to clarity.
  5. Sorry, yes it does, I did not realise that a hexagon could be constructed from triangles.
  6. Hello, Just a quick question, is it possible to make a hexagonal grid in Affinity Designer? Thanks, Joseph
  7. Yes, I mean completely randomly, what is this random choice function of which you speak?
  8. Hello, I have about 1,000 curves and want to select some randomly so that I can group and then colour them. Is this possible as currently, I am just scrolling through the layers panel and randomly clicking? Thanks, Joseph.
  9. Thanks, I will contact them directly. Hmm... Do you know if that would be fixed in the future / if there is a more permanent solution? Otherwise, the workaround will have to do. Not sure if you understood my question, I was wondering if you can add one layer/object to multiple groups. Yep, that is what I ended up doing in the end. Wish there was an easier solution though. I will do, it is a great piece of software.
  10. Hello, I am new to Affinity (still on the trial) and have a few questions: Is there any form of student discount, I am aware that there wasn't about a year ago but am wondering if anything has been changed now. In the image that I am working on (see below) there are visible white lines between curves despite there being no stroke, is there any easy way to remove them? Is there any way to add a curve to multiple groups so that it takes an average of the adjustments applied to those two groups. In my situation for the image below, I have three groups (front, side and top) and apply brightness adjustments on them to give the impression of shadow; the issue is that the roof parts should belong to two groups (front-top and side-top) so that they take an average of the shadow for better effect, is this possible? Finally, is there a way to exempt a curve in a group from the adjustments on that group (in my ecapleI want the light to be exempt from the shadow). Thanks, Joseph.
