  1. I am very happy to hear that! By the way, not so long ago I proposed a small but very useful improvement: "Hello affinity team! I have one suggestion. When I draw a straight line with a brush while holding down the shift key, I don’t understand how the line will be drawn. I often have to redraw the line. Why, while holding down the shift key, do not show the path of the new stroke. This will greatly simplify the work with straight lines with a brush." I really really want to see it)
  2. God, brushes work great in beta! Let them also work in the release version.
  3. Hello! After upgrading to version 1.8, pressing and tilting the pen pen on an affine photo without windows ink turned on in the driver settings for the tablet driver stopped working for me. The problem is that when you turn on windows ink, the brush stops working normally. So the brush works in stabilization mode with obvious input delays. It is especially difficult to work with small details, now all small strokes appear with a large delay. I am using an xp-pen deco pro S tablet os windows 10

I often have to redraw the line. Why, while holding down the shift key, do not show the path of the new stroke. This will greatly simplify the work with straight lines with a brush. Perhaps it is not entirely clear described. I used a translator. A similar function is in gimp or paintstorm.
  6. I do not see a reason to pay for such decisions. Just extremely difficult to switch from paintstorm to affinity photo. After all, paintstorm stabilization of brushes and work with them is realized almost perfect. And turning to Affinity Photo work with braking brushes, buggy pipettes and no post processing of a stroke is extremely difficult to force yourself to work in it. Yes it is not critical, but I believe that you can and should bring the brush to work, make a normal stabilization of the brushes, a correctly working pipette. With the processing of photos from Affinity Photo, everything is pretty good, but here's for digital painting, while this program is poorly fit, although the potential of the program is huge.
  7. I also thought at the beginning that the problem is in the wacom drivers. However, when I bought a new tablet from the company Huion Q11k. And the problem repeated. Although there is even a stitching system built into the driver. The tablet itself is just a machine gun and in all the programs where the smoothing and stabilization of the stroke system is normally implemented, everything worked perfectly and without criticism it: Krita, paintstorm, photoshop. The fact that my system is not enough power is also unlikely. CPU i4770k, GPU GT760, ssd 850 for 250gb, RAM 16GB. In addition, brushes behave differently even in one version of the program. That all works normally, then the line is clearly angular. Or the stroke a little slows down at the start and instead of the curve draws a straight line, and then it's fine. This is the problem of the program itself, not the drivers. I remember that this sore was treated for a very long time in Krita, there too at first the stabilization and smoothing of the stroke worked poorly, but now it was cured.
  8. Hi, Max. H! It's a strange thing, but I've come across a similar problem and understand you perfectly. Generally this problem appears randomly. Part of the problem can be solved if you include high-precision input from the tablet in the settings. Then the line will appear with a slight delay just equal to that gap when the stroke slows and draws a straight line. But then the heavier brushes will work much more slowly. I was helped to fix the problem by installing the program cleanly. I deleted it and using the program ccleaner cleaned unnecessary files and registry. After I re-installed the program and it helped me.
  9. Thanks for the new beta version. Now the brushes work much better, the stairs are gone and the productivity of the program has become much better when drawing. However, quickly calling the pipette on the alt still does not work well, sometimes it does not switch to the brush after removing the Alt key. Even when the atl is clamped, it would be nice if an icon of a pipette or a crosshair appeared instead of a brush, I like taping on the image to quickly take color and this would have made life much easier for me. I can also offer a good basic set of brushes for drawing: Basic Artistic Brush.afbrushes
  10. Problems with the stabilization of the brush. She does not work. The stroke is clearly broken. I installed the program on another computer, I tried different graphic tablets result one broken line instead of a smooth stroke.

  12. I do not know about you, but I really miss the shortcut menu for the brush tool in affinity. Therefore, I want to offer my own version. I tried to make it as simple and convenient as possible. I think that the new context menu for the brush tool will help greatly in drawing Main features: 1) the color wheel can choose a square or a triangle in the lower right corner there is a quick switch 2) Brushes will automatically select the first 12 brushes from the selected library of brushes 3) 2 types of color wheel In order not to get confused in the brushes, when you move the cursor over to the brush, a pop-up window appears with the name and the brush stroke I also attach the project file, there is another variant of the context menu, it is very similar to the context menu in Photoshop, it is ideal for all the tools that use the brush to work on the image, you can also turn it on and make the choice in the settings between them. Thanks to all this!
