I too much prefer the original icons. The icons give a visual message of what they do, especially the Publisher icon compared to the new version. Why does AFFINITY have to follow a trend? Most thing come round full circle and only dead fish swim with the current.
I hate to criticise as I am a great fan of AFFINITY and the way you guys interact with users.

Agreed. It IS a WACOM driver problem exacerbated by individual win configurations. Google 'Wacom windows 7 problems'......

Am working on a logo and was wondering how to
 
1. Give a group of (text or shapes) a perspective like Netflix Logo.
 
I have AF photo and AF designer - however I wasn't able to effectively use the perspective or mesh tool for the same.
 

 
 
2. Can one fill a shape with patterns ?
 
Here's part of the logo - I've converted it into curves - wanting to fill it with patters - say like stars or something around the spine...
Idea is to make it look like fancy movie glasses

Making i a very simple way more effect like halos, sunbeams and sunbursts
Make the tool palette on the screen bigger (more visible)  as an option
Change the function status from gray/black to some more visible colours as an option
Improve the  printing of the Affiity Photo Help, at the moment when I print a page I lose about 40 % of the right side and cannot print page by page making the print option useles.

I don't like to criticise but to give some feedback at first look I prefer the old logos.
 
The new logos also feel cheap to me.
 
At first glance I would have to think a little longer which program each logo represents.

Will being able to hold down space bar allow me to move around objects as I create them? Aka. Illustrator, Fireworks etc. Still miss this :) Either way, keep up the great work. Looking forward to Publisher also.

Things I have heard you (collectively) say:
"early autumn" "and we will release it on the app store when we feel it is ready" "should...couple months...maybe" You guys make GREAT software. And despite my frustration, I still plan to support it. You have a long way to go in forecasting / publishing timelines.

Sketch feature thingy? I don't see anything anywhere similar to a "Sketch Feature" in AP. Which feature are you referring to?

v. 1.3.5 is today published: what should be the Lens Corrections?

Please help.  Inpainting stopped midway and screen froze.  Escape key does nothing.  Cannot reverse inpaint, Affinity will not close and computer will not shut down because of Affinity.  Please advise.

UPDATE: Affinity Designer 1.5.3 is now available on the Mac App Store and fixes the problems described in this thread.
 
*** PLEASE NOTE *** We have just noticed a problem with the latest Mac AppStore Designer update (ver 1.5.2) and are working to resolve it have resolved it.
 
Running this update will reset any brushes, styles, text styles, swatches, keyboard shortcut customization and workspace layout you may have added.
 
We are extremely sorry about this and will have a fix available within the next 24 hours.
 
If you have installed the new update and have customised any settings then please don't run Designer until we have deployed a replacement update (Designer ver 1.5.3). 
 
Alternatively we have a workaround available to save the presets for those users that have updated but haven't opened the app yet.
 
Again, we are very sorry and will make sure this never happens again.

Currently Analog Efex Pro 2, Color Efex Pro 4, Silver Efex Pro 2 work with Affinity Photo. HDR Efex Pro 2 only works partially.
