  1. This is new for me in 1.3.5.14: - Open a photo - Crop it - Not happy with crop, so undo it with cmd + z (*) - While the crop gets undone I see some white flashing up where the photo should be (only part of the picture). That didn't happen before. (*) which I'd like to behave differently, but that's another story
  2. > Fixed tab bar issues when many documents are open. Not fixed for me. But very glad to hear you're working on it! MacBook Pro Retina, 13-inch, this still happening in AP 1.3.5.14: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/12901-closing-one-of-many-photos-next-active-picture-shouldnt-be-the-one-in-the-last-tab (2nd person writing about it: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/14858-confused-order-opening-multiple-photos-in-a-file)
  3. > select all layers (press ⌥⌘A ), then copy (press ⌘C ) then File ▸ New From Clipboard (press ⌥⇧⌘N ) Then it's called 'Untitled' * and I can't edit the name in the tab (or can I?). For me, 'copy of filename' or 'filename copy' would be better. * if I duplicate several open photos the copies are all called 'Untitled'
  4. I'd like to be able to do that, too. Just posted it in Feature Requests: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/15179-ap-duplicate-open-file-im-working-on
  5. Apparently I'm not the only one who'd like to do that. Most 'natural' for me would be cmd+d = duplicate file. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/15097-ap-is-there-a-way-to-duplicate-an-open-picture https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/15178-creating-versions-of-the-same-opened-layers-file https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/15134-duplication-of-one-photo
  6. From the thread p_mac linked to: you can turn canvas rotation off in Preferences: Preferences -> Tools -> Enable Canvas Rotation With Trackpad -> uncheck
  7. Thank you :-) (couldn't figure out how to only post the link)
  8. See https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/10119-in-house-affinity-photo-video-tutorials -> 8. Getting Creative -> Sky replacement https://vimeo.com/131644949
  9. > cmd J will place a duplicate layer above the original layer Yes - but in the same photo. I think Giovanni may mean this https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/15179-ap-duplicate-open-file-im-working-on
  10. "Nothing happens when I try the traditional rotation gesture (thumb and pointer finger then rotate.)" ;)
  11. > Hope this is what you mean. No, but thanks anyway ;) (But it might well be the way I _should_ be doing it..)
  12. What hardware are you using? Maybe somebody can reproduce that it's not working yet in that particular setting. (me: MacBook Pro Retina, 13-inch with built in trackpad, no mouse).
  13. > would you prefer a right click context menu option? Shortest way for me would be: cmd d _opens_ a copy in AP, but focus tab stays where I am. I can easily live without it - but want to be sure I'm not just overlooking it.
  14. Hi Is there a way to duplicate an open picture in AP? cmd d doesn't seem to do it and I don't see it in the custom shortcuts lists either. What I try to do: when I start working on a picture I sometimes have another idea I want to follow later - or I'd like to preserve what I've done far, so I'd like to make a copy of the file in the state it is at the moment *. The copy would generate an additional tab, but the focus would stay in the tab where I am (not switch to the newly generated copy). * So I'd like a snapshot (very cool function btw.!), but in a new file. Workaround would be to export the picture and open that export in AP later.
  15. Scroll to top of the thread, click 'Follow this topic' (on the same hight as the thread title). On https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=notifications you decide if you want the notifications by email or inside the forum or both. On the same page, check "Auto follow topics I reply to."
  16. Hi :-) This will be obsolete once sticky settings are here. Until then I work with cropping presets - it would be sweet if my own presets were added at the top of the list instead of the bottom.
  17. > A preference setting ... would make people of all sorts happy Indeed. It's here! https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/14968-affinity-photo-customer-beta-1358 Preferences -> Tools -> Enable Canvas Rotation With Trackpad -> uncheck ----- Edit: if there's a solved tag, it would be fitting for this thread.
