  1. @fde101, thanks for the answer. I will follow your suggestions. I trust the developers of Affinity / Serif, but your recommendation to uninstall later is preferable.
<==========================> Rockfloor, thank you for your answer. I have confidence in the developers. They have proven for years that they know what they are doing. Even with beta versions there were no problems. Have you uninstalled V1 in the meantime and if so, assets, add-ons etc. are running fine?
  3. Hello, I've already searched the forum but didn't really find any helpful information. My system is WIN 10, 22H2 latest build. Currently I still have version V1 of Photo, Publisher and Designer installed. I would like to implement a "clean" switch to version 2, but not lose my assets, add-ons etc, respectively reinstall them. Now my question: What is the "optimal" way to ensure a "clean change"? First uninstall everything or first install V2 and then uninstall version 1. Many thanks in advance Mr. Sapling
  4. Hello, here a very short way to explain the import of a macro without ending "s".. macro-import.mp4
  5. Hello lonly wanderer, the following tests I did and the results are: => I delete all *.svg and now I can work like before, in fact with the old tablet too. => I placed two *.svg without to wrap the text and there is no "problem". This make sense, because I have another document about 1,5 GB and some SVG's (> 20) too, no wrapped text, and all machines run well. I hope this helps to eleminate this "problem" soon. Don't hesitate to ask for more information or a file, if you solve the problem draughty.
  6. Thanks GarryP, I will test and HOPE, that they solve this problem soon. My documents don't stay still (inactive) for some seconds! At last I have to kill the task, because the software is blocking the screen.
  7. Hello, support, since a few days, even before the version *.139 Publisher (according to TaskManager) allows itself to be "permanently inactive". If I have detected it correctly, this problem occurs when inserting images with the extension *.svg. A smooth working is not possible as soon as I access the SVGs. Another impression is that the CPU and memory are used too much. I test the Publisher on 3 different systems. The following parameters have to be specified for 2 of the 3 systems: 1st ASUS ROG, (Intel Core i7-4710HQ CPU @ 2.5 GHz) WIN 10 (with last update), 32 GB RAM, graphics card NiVidia GeForce GTX980M 2nd Acer (Intel Core i5-3337U CPU @ 1,80 GHz) with WIN 10 (with last update). 4 GB RAM, graphics card Intel HD Graphics 4000 On all systems the same problem (permanently inactive as soon as I want to move the SVG's). That the Acer Tablet is not a "Sprinter" is obvious, but so far it was possible to work there "quickly". But I'm not familiar with the fact that the "ROG" gives me long coffee breaks all the time. It has to work really hard normally! All other started programs have no problems and work well! What can I do to restore a smooth workflow? Mr Sapling
  8. Hi Advanced Member, I'm using a Windows machine and never installed a software of Affinity before. Which version I downloaded and installed today I don't know.
  9. Hi there, I download A. Photo today, installed it and by starting come the message: "The test period has expired. We hope you enjoyed working with Affinity Photo." Is this a joke? How can I test the software, when the test period expired until the moment I start the FIRST time. Is there someone with an idea? Thanks in advance! Mr. Sapling
