madtho got a reaction from Boldlinedesign in 1bit / bitmap mode colour format?
I work in letterpress printing and screenprinting and use 1 bit mode every day. Please include this feature.

    Reiterating what others have said:
Letterpress require a solid, no line screen image to make clean film for plates. We, too, scan calligraphy for invitations at 1200dpi for high resolution platemaking.
In PS I  scan>convert to greyscale>play with levels, then Threshold>convert to bitmap. Then I colorize with spot (Pantone) colors in layout software.

I've been doing this for close to 20 years (yikes) and am happy to consult to bring this feature to Affinity.
    thanks!

Great work Serif. Thank you for getting this out in a complete way, and on the iPad too.

madtho reacted to Sheryn in Global Colours in Layer Effects
    Hi Affinity Team,
It would be great to have Global Colours available in Layer Effects.
For example when adding outer glow, I often use the same colour as the object on which I am applying the effect (e.g: outer glow) but it doesn't automatically change with the colour of the object, neither does it change when I update the Global Colour which I selected to apply to the effect (e.g: outer glow). In fact selecting a Global Colour in the colour palettes of Layer Effects is not available. It's a big waste of time when I have to go back and manually change the colour of the glow (or outline, shadow, overlay, gradient...) because I decided to change a Global Colour..
    Thanks !
