CR2 (Canon Raw) Thumbnails

I already have the Raw codec installed and in Canon software I can view the CR2 thumbnails .But NOT in Affinity .I can even view my CR2 thumbnails in Faststone which is free so I would expect a program like Affinity to implement the same ability. I like Affinity a lot but it does have some annoying aspects and bugs . -
I don't know if this has been ask before but how can I make my Canon CR2 thumbnails show the photo thumbnail as opposed to the Affinity logo?All the normal Jpg's etc. show up as pictures but not the CR2's.When I look at some tutorials that refer to RAW photos the thumbnails seem to be of the picture. I have a PC version and I was wondering if the Mac version shows them but not the PC.
