Do not turn off syncing and turn your donut into a pie shape.

Use other shapes to mask it to turn it into the shape you want

Then you can still change the hole size adjustment etc on the original donut shape which will also change your other symbols

You may need to provide a graphical example of what you are trying to do, if the above is not how I have correctly interpreted your problem

This is probably the closest work around. Better but not optimum. I'll post what I'm doing a little later today.

    What limitation do you mean?

There's no way to sync the other shape attributes after you've unsync and edit any shape attributes. Basically I need to create several donuts that each have different arcs but I also need to be able to edit them all at once and there's no way to do that. There's not even a way to select them all and edit their shape because as soon as you select a two or more shapes you lose the option to edit their shape attributes. This is clearly yet another limitation. I'm an independent software developer. I'm going to continue up use designer for this project but there's just seems to be no way at all to continue to use this for serious GUI work. And that really sucks because it has strengths but the weaknesses are very crippling.

So does using Edit > Paste FX not paste all of the copied FX to another object -- including the "Scale with Object" property -- for some of you?

It does for me, thus I do not understand the earlier comment that Scale with Object should have no affect on the paste. How can it not?

The problem is that if you paste fx from one object to a different size object, the value of the fx scales to fit that object instead of actually pasting the same values.

Pasting fx appears to work correctly in Affinity Designer but not in Affinity Photo.

    Affinity Designer.
Adding a 10px Outline fx to a 100px Circle in Affinity Designer, then copying and pasting that fx to a 200px circle, pastes the correct size i.e. 10px

    Affinity Photo.
Adding a 10px Outline fx to a 100px Circle in Affinity Photo, then copying and pasting that fx to a 200px circle, pastes the incorrect size i.e. 20px so it's scaling it.

Scale with Object should have no affect on copy paste, as this relates to the resizing of the object with an fx applied and the fx follows suit.

I'm using Designer and it's doing what you are saying is only in Photo. I have the most current version on Windows 10. Is this some sort of bug because this scaled version is literally not a copy and is mostly just annoying?
