Assuming that all of the pictures are the same size and orientation, you could simply create a document whose dimensions are ten times those of a single picture, and then use 'snapping' to place them all neatly in a 10 x 10 grid. Finally, resize the document to the desired size.

    Hi Robchoc,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Adding to what Alfred said, to open all the images quickly as layers rather than independent documents, open a Finder (Mac) or Windows Explorer window (Win) and drag them all to the empty document with the correct (10x) dimensions set.

In a word, yes: the same method will work in either app. :)

Hmm ... not quite random enough, I reckon!

    Not big enough, either!

OK, I'll play, too. I wasn't that pleased with the three random selections I got but I suppose it doesn't matter.

I thought I would include the CDs since not everyone can play vinyl these days.

    Fun idea Robchoc!

A bit of Fun and practice using Affinity to make an album cover.  :)

Album Covers: Here are the rules:
1 - Go to Wikipedia. Hit “random” or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Quotations Page and select "random quotations" or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote on the page are the title of your album.
3 - Go to Rgbstock and click on “RANDOM” or click http://www.rgbstock.com/random
The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
4 - Use Affinity Designer/Photo to put it all together and share your results.

I look forward to seeing your pictures.  :)

Unbelievably my random wiki article was actually a music page  :o hence the band name "Ocean (B's song)" and my picture was a fisherman! Not so sure about the title though  :)

Use the Polygon Tool instead of the Triangle Tool. If the base box is square (achieved by holding down the Shift key as you drag out the shape on the page) the resulting polygon will be a regular, or equilateral, one.

I think you need to edit the curves to make sure there's a proper overlap between the shapes that you want to add.

    Hi Rob,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Go to menu View ▸ Snapping Manager... and uncheck Show snapping candidates.
These purple lines indicate which objects are snapping candidates  (that is, can be snapped to) when you have snapping enabled.
