[Moving objects in Affinity Designer for iPad]

I find it very difficult to move objects around, especially line vectors. It makes the program a frustrating experience to create vectors of any complexity.

Is there a way to quickly get the text frame box to fit around the text without manually dragging the corners? In Adobe Illustrator, you could double click a corner point and the box would automatically fit the text.

This really should be made into a simple feature like in Sketch's 'Rotate Copies'.

Really useful for logo designs etc.

Hi MEB, I had it in 'Separated Mode', and when I unchecked that the menu reappeared. 

Does the top menu not show up when in Separated Mode? I often like to have multiple windows on different monitors, which is why I selected Separated Mode.

I'm trying to expand a font so that I can manipulate it, but the Expand Stroke is greyed out. When I try and do this in Adobe Illustrator I have no problems. Is this a bug or is there some process I am missing?

If I use the Selection brush Tool (in Pixel Persona) on the image as part of a larger art board, my selection doesn't detect edges well, as in attached pic.

The Select tab - Midtones, Shadows, Highlights does not seem to be selecting anything for me. I put this logo element on it's own artboard - within the same file window - of another artboard I am working on.  The selection brush seems to go over into other colour areas easily.
 

Is it that you can only effectively use the selection tool/features when the image you want to select from is open in it's own window?

What is the best way to select a specific tone, colour or shape? (similar to the magic wand in Photoshop)

 

For example, in the attached pic, I want to select just the light grey portion (in order to change the tone or remove it completely).

[Change colour of measurement numbers]

Hello,

 

I find the white around the measurement number makes the numbers difficult to read. It would be better if a user could select different colour measurements to suit their needs. Along with changing the size of the numbers.

Thanks for all the replies. It seems like this task could be made much easier and more intuitive with some sort of scissor tool like Sketch and Photoshop.

Is there a way to change the colour or size of the measurement numbers between elements when holding Command D?

 

I find the white outline around the number, makes it difficult to read.

[Removing a side of shape (scissors tool)]

Is there any easy way to remove one side of a triangle (or any shape) to make an arrow? 

 

See attached image

For example, in Sketch you can go to Layer/Paths/Scissors and then click the side you want to remove.
