  1. A test painting done in affinity photo on iPad
  2. Also, its disruptive that frequently no layer may be currently active, so when you start drawing again, it creates a new one. There should always be an active layer selected. There should also be a mode where pinch twist zoom navigation is persistent , right now you have to switch into the canvas rotate mode, which means you can't draw as long as its active. This is a -huge- productivity killer, and users used to procreate/Paintstorm/sketchclub will not ever get used to this inferior convention. Maybe just add a third mode to canvas pan/ canvas rotate/ (call it illustration mode maybe?) Sketchclub has a customizable floating palette that you can assign your favourite tools/presets to. This would allow affinity users to create their own 'illustration persona ' based on the tools they use the most. The tap count required to do the same function in affinity photo relative to other apps is at least 50% more or greater, which over a long session adds up quickly. Affinity photo has lots of great tools and details, but the overall drawing/painting experience is currently far too disjointed relative to iOS mainstays that people are probably already had before getting ap.
  3. The port is really quite nice, it's the deepest photo/illustration package yet on iOS. But it would be great if there were a customizable persona category where the user could put their most commonly used tools all into one centralized toolbox. Sketchclub App on iOS has this feature, and it's the best quick access ui on the whole platform, imho. Things like the selection persona take too many clicks to get to and use in conjunction with the other tools in other persona. Someone using AP for illustration will likely be using a different subset of tools than someone using it for photo management. Also, adding a third option for the pan zoom/rotate canvas slot, that does classic iOS pinch, twist, zoom like in procreate and sketch club would satisfy users accustomed to this ubiquitous convention, while leaving people still in the desktop/laptop ui paradigm their convention.
  4. Would it be possible to include an option for twisting gesture to rotate the canvas? This is such a useful feature that all the top tier sketching apps on iOS all have included as a matter of course (procreate, sketch club, Paintstorm, comic draw, etc.)
  5. Helps to include the image eh?
  6. A quick test of affinity photo, on a iPad Pro via Astropad. Really liking it so far! I hope when it comes to iOS, that it has some now standard iOS painting up conventions as can be found in apps like sketch club, procreate, and Paintstorm. Like pinch twist canvas rotation, etc...
