  1. I would love to see an Affinity Photo luminosity mask panel or plugin; either designed by a third party or by Serif itself. I don't know if anyone else has requested this, or if I'm the only one. Furthermore, I think something like that would make lots of folks switch to Affinity Photo. Photoshop has this edge because many software developers have made numerous iterations of luminosity masks plugins for the application.
  2. Having a similar problem, but in my case I don't see Puerto Rico listed in the shipping options. I bought both Affinity Photo and Designer from the Apple store but I wish I can buy it from Serif. Another option is going to Amazon where they also have it.
  3. Is there any chance you can send this book to Puerto Rico? We are part of USA since we use the same currency and post office zip codes. I noticed that even though it says USA on one of the countries, the ordering process won't let me put in Puerto Rico in one of the states like other forms do. I went to countries to see if I could select Puerto Rico and it does not appear there or anywhere. I would love to order the book.
  4. Ever since Affinity came out with there software I was very intrigued and participated when they were still in beta. Incredible program to say the least. I purchased both of them and I currently use Affinity Photo more than I use Affinity Designer and the reason is that I enjoy Photography more. Designer is brilliant! But going back to Affinity Photo, I mean... it's just awesome. I stopped using Photoshop when they went subscription mode and to be quite frank, it would be a major bummer if Affinity decided to go this route. I doubt they will but you can never be certain of anything in these times. Just hope they keep improving their products. By the way, Steve Caplin which I consider a Photoshop guru has put out a tutorial on how to use Affinity Photo and it is great.
  5. Hi again MikeKPhoto #539. I don't know if you're aware that with Affinity Photo you can export your file as a Photoshop PSD and maybe it will work with Bridge. Try it out. Regards, Jose
  6. Hello MikeKPhoto #539 I just wanted to let you know that Adobe Bridge is now being offered for free even if you don't have Photoshop. Regards, Jose
  7. Hello. I was wondering if Affinity Photo can use Topaz Plugins? In particular Remask 5. This is of interest to me so if any answer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :D Cheers, Jose A De Leon Order #679219
  8. Hello Matt! I'm reintroducing myself again since you just went on the forum and are one of the developers. My name is Jose and I live in the northwest coast of Puerto Rico in a town called Arecibo. (Big Radio Telescope Arecibo... ahh you get it). Ever since Photoshop went on the subscription route I was hoping someone would come up with an alternative and then you guys started knocking on the door. I've tried the beta with Affinity Photo and purchased it as soon as it came available; I also bought Designer. I'm still on the learning curve since I've been using Photoshop for more than 8 years now, but it seems to be very similar with the short cuts and all. Any way I just wanted to point out that I'm happy with both purchases looking forward to see down the pipeline what you guys come up with. I was reading that many improvements are on the drawing board as I'm writing. Hope much success for Affinity and hopefully will make a dent on the big guy. Regards, Jose
  9. Hi. My name is Jose from Puerto Rico. I recently purchased AP having had the beta for sometime now. I really have great hope this software takes off. I'm watching all tutorials with great interest being a Photoshop user for many years. Competition is good and I really think the design landscape needs Affinity Photo as another alternative. As for everything new, I can understand that Affinity Photo can't come out of the gates "perfect", but I'm patient and I know in time things will get better. Photoshop has been around for 25+ years and I'm not here to knock Photoshop or any other application. But Photoshop also had its beginnings and everything wasn't rosy and in 25 years they have polished their software. Having said that, I know Affinity will do the same. I have high hopes on that. Photoshop is a great program and I still use it, what's not great is their subscription route which I'm not fond of, but that's another story. I still have my CS6 CD which I use. Anyhow I'm so excited on the launch of AP and I'm currently going through the learning curve which is not that steep. I really hope AP launches more tutorials on specific use of its tools in a thorough manner. Glad to be in the community and thanks for accepting me in. Best regards to all my fellow artists, Jose

  11. Hello all! I'm not a developer. I was in Facebook and discovered this software and decided to read about it. It seems that Photoshop finally has some serious competition and that makes me so happy. I've never used this software before being a Photoshop user for some years. I decided to use shortcuts I used in Photoshop discovering they work here too. I will play around and see how it goes for me. I really hope this software makes a dent on Photoshop because I am tired of the Photoshop monopoly.
