Its still tiny and now my eyes are even older....creak...groan...

I really find it hard to read the adjustment panel's text and wish it could be made a bit bigger

I have a (non retina) 27" iMac and the text is too small to use easily. I'm 64. I could use it at a pinch but why bother with the neck and back problems squinting a lot close to the screen causes?

Yes I can just see it but I work at arms length from the screen and for this it is too small to use without discomfort. I have a 7 other image editing apps and can use them all without this problem. 

Until this is changed I'll carry on using Ps, Lr, Photmatix, DPP (what I actually use DPP! mad or what?) Aurora (small but not as small), Helicon Focus, PTGui Pro, Imageprint, nor do I have a problem with the MacOS, so really this is the only app I have text size issues with.

Point being , sure it may be usable by those with great eyesight etc but it is not the norm to expect the rest of us to be able to use it (without discomfort) so I understand there may be technical reasons why you're struggling to improve this area, but it does need improving

I can't use it as it is, but I buy affinity and support it anyway as I like whee they are (hopefully) headed

Just downloaded affinity and the first thing I tried was to get the font size bigger as its too small for my eyes

Either it doesn't actually change when chosen larger in prefs (after restart) or the cha age is too small to make much difference
Am I doing something wrong or should it be larger than It seems

In Photoshop the UI font size is  set to the largest and is OK for me

Using 27" iMac

screenshot actually looks clearer than in the app but I think thats because its directly in front of eye not to the far right of the screen.

I can see it, but it is not easy on the eye I have to squint very slightly

Yes I could get new glasses but my point really is that the font size is OK in Photoshop so please could those of us who have  ageing eyesight have larger UI font please

Also I don't need new glasses don't  for anything else as I can see all my other programs  UI just fine(Lightroom photoshop , Aurora, etc

Like the look of it but will take time to learn as different in many aspects to Ps 

What I noticed before I ran out of steam for now:

COMMAND +Z needs to undo everything including individual preference settings 

 

font and UI sizes need to go bigger (either that or prefs don;t work)

Help needed finding plug-in support folders-found some but not all

first CR2 file =scary colours - is it trying to translate using xmp sidecar file?like vibrance turned up full on -

 

Clicking on contrast icon = no effect

double click on effect e.g. 'black' or 'white ' under blackpoint, needs to reset to zero

 

exposure and blackpoint sliders are too strong

 

"power' is a daft term

 

changes dont take full efect until slider is released -leaves clunky squeares

 

need to be able to nudge (arrow keys) slider by one degree, +other key combo to nudge e.g. by 5

 

EH! lens correction , ees inna espagole innit? lol ;)

 

hand tool doesnt move image

 

cancel closed image with no check
