Hey guys! I would really like to participate in this … game. :D I created a dribbble account a few years ago but never completely understood how it works. What I do understand is one needs to showcase stuff in order to get »drafted« or get an »invite« – but I can’t figure out how to upload anything. Also there are different account options or something like that, if I remember correctly? In case someone has such an invite to spare – this is my Bēhance profile in case you want/need to see some of my stuff first – I’d really appreciate it. ;) Cheers Dennis

Affinity Designer Customer Beta (1.3.5.7)
Mr. Doodlezz replied to MattP's topic in [ARCHIVE] Designer beta on macOS threads
Woooah – very nice update, so many great features and improvements. I really appreciate the Global Colours, really speeds up my workflow!  -
Sure it works as you state, but it’s something different than what I requested. So I wouldn't actually call it a workaround for the feature I described initially and it involves a bit more button-pressing and mode-switching instead of just draw the shape in the right place anew. ;) Also adding and »preview-panning« (or what ever you wanna call this) a selection to an existing one the way Photoshop handles it is not possible with this technique. But thanks, your trick is handy to know anyway! There’s no real »transform selection« option right now, is there?

Hmmm … not exactly what I was talking about. Here, let me show you in this video. https://youtu.be/u-AVjjQxMUI By the way it behaves the same without pressing the shift key.

multi My graphic work and other stuff that I create
Mr. Doodlezz replied to Mr. Doodlezz's topic in Share your work
Oh, yeah! So this is one of my most recent designs, and I have to admit I'm pretty proud of it. It's a big part - if not the entirety - of my graduation project, now a few weeks old. The logo and characters were created entirely in Affinity Designer and then engraved into the varnish on the underside of a skateboard. In addition, backgrounds, mock-ups, and print items were created entirely in Affinity Photo. But I urgently need Affinity Publisher for layouts of the print products. I want to say goodbye to Adobe completely and as soon as possible. I can't wait, ha! Here is a small preview, please click on the picture to see the complete project in high quality on Bēhance! And feel free to leave a comment or like if you enjoy what you see.- 35 replies

Transform Tutorial
Mr. Doodlezz replied to Lamont's topic in Tutorials (Serif and Customer Created Tutorials)
Hey Lamont, try these ways to transform if you haven't already, though there are a few more functions. Just stick around in the Distortion menu. But well … the basic transformations are actually pretty obvious, almost poking your eye in the Affinity products, I think. ;) Cheers Dennis -

Just for fun … here’s a quick alteration, I just created after posting that comment. :) It’s a really quick way to explore and discover new, interesting colour schemes. -
Create A Color Wheel
Mr. Doodlezz replied to truegold's topic in Tutorials (Serif and Customer Created Tutorials)
Hey true gold, here’s my attempt on this topic, I used Affinity Designer. Though it’s a totally different approach to what is shown in the video. I used the conical fill (one of the gradient types) for the colour blending inside the circle since it’s much more efficient and convenient without the whole process of copying, transform and blending options. Plus you can always come back and change the colours instantly afterwards to get a different colour wheel. ;) Here’s the file if you’d like to try out and see how it’s done. :) Colourwheel.afdesign -
Combine Publisher and Designer?
Mr. Doodlezz replied to Framelynx's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
Affinity Phodesublishner. Hey, you know what? Why not integrate a 3D hub as well as a multimedia panel? This will become the ultimate all-in-one-app solution you’ll ever need! No, hold on. How about – Affinity OS. That would actually be pretty rad, I think. :D Haha, sorry for teasing. :P Dennis -
Brics … and rainbows … I guess? :P Nice work on the 3D effect and textures! :D

Yes please! :) Looking forward for both features and miss them very much, since I used them a lot while working with Illustrator. I know expand stroke is working, but as you already noticed far to many points after converting. Greetings Dennis

Combine Publisher and Designer?
Mr. Doodlezz replied to Framelynx's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
Signed. Please, no – why would I need a massive application that loads every single function available at startup if I just want to layout 16 pages with accurately formatted text, maybe place a few images and a logo delivered by a client? Right now I just know exactly what app I need to fire up for which purpose – no unnecessary loading time, no wasted memory usage on functions I won't need during the process or the session. Yeah, I know a few of these people, too. Creating logos in InDesign … never fully understood it, I think functions are very limited but especially unintuitive for that purpose – but hey, whatever floats your boat. Cheers Dennis -

Affinity Designer Customer Beta (1.3.5.1)
Mr. Doodlezz replied to MattP's topic in [ARCHIVE] Designer beta on macOS threads
Oooh thank you guys sooo much for the user defined shortcuts feature! Finally I can set fill/stroke to »none« with the #-key on the german keyboard instead of ⌃+7! How much I missed that one simple shortcut – you’ve made me very happy today haha. That? Oh, yes, that’s just a tear of joy right there … :’D Now onwards to try out the new shape features! Have a nice evening! -
Hey cekuhnen, I'm missing this feature too … there’s »Levels improvements« on the Affinity Photo feature roadmap, though I'm not sure what that means. I really liked this feature in Photoshop, used it almost in every session for quickly cleaning up line art and stuff like that. I’d like to see this added in future updates.
