  1. I suppose Serif could program their own implementation, implementing the equations listed in the PDF and the video. Assuming some of their programmers are able to handle the mathematical wizardry. Now I realize why computer scientists need their mathematical qualifications
  2. Not officially, but there is a link for locating the resource for Macintosh users. It says use at your own risk. Or if you can download the sources and build it yourself then you might be on to a winner. https://gmic.eu/download.html
  3. You make very good points. I suppose it is just nice to have the option for realistic pigment mixing on digital platforms to widen the gamut of the digital artists arsenal of techniques and maximise his or her productivity. Maybe less necessary on a photo app but for things like designer where such touches may be useful and for pixel art then it would be a welcome addition.
  4. There is a new realistic paint mixing technique made available to experiment with for free. It would be a good addition to Affinity Photo. https://scrtwpns.com/mixbox/
  5. Here is a parody song I knocked up based on Moonlight Shadow by Mike Oldfield. Anyone who remembers the early days of British microcomputing will probably understand the reference. Image created in Affinity Photo using G'Mic filters. Layed out quickly in Affinity Publisher.
  6. Sadly, not available for Mac but this image converter will batch convert between many formats including vector formats. 7. I'm not sure but here is the result. Tom Bombadil Picks up women svg.svg
  8. You could always use this utility to clean the svg. https://github.com/RazrFalcon/svgcleaner-gui/releases
  9. It is a painting mode in Fotosketcher.
  10. https://fotosketcher.com/ Fotosketcher can now produce SVGs of Painting 4. This can be edited in Affinity Designer and processed as a vector image. Not quite a vector trace function but very useful. Tom Bombadil Picks up women svg.svg
  11. Okay just tried exporting a publication to JPG in Affinity Publisher and got a very odd result. Included jpg, png for comparison. The JPG seems to render as black in the windows 10 picture viewer. It could be a bug in picture viewer. I'm not sure why. Michael
  12. Something, I created to honour all of us born upon October 31st. To the tune of the Ovaltineys. Craig Ferguson Halloweenies.mp3
  13. It is probably a bug or a feature which cannot easily be applied to text with styles. Attached a package showing the problem. Motion Blur Bugs.zip To work around the issue I find rasterizing the object first then applying the live blur filter works well. However, once rasterized the object ceases to be a vector which is unfortunate.
  14. I'm pretty sure the glitching was caused by applying a motion blur layer effect to the title.
  15. Here is the sample image that visualizes the product from Vistaprint's website. It is 20cm x 30cm. I chose one without a frame, so she can choose one that suits her rather than be stuck with the black polystyrene one they would provide.
  16. Good Question. I am not sure which application it came with or whether it was provided in a Serif Premium Fonts Collection disc (possibly collection 4 as it is a titling style of font). It could have been with WordPerfect X6. Here you can get it free for personal use: https://www.maisfontes.com/gasoline-sans-btn
  17. Thanks Alfred. I thought I'd better link to the Dream Styles thread to give the honour to that forum member's post. After all, it is provided by that member. However, a direct link is a good idea too.
