  1. The painting version covers many photographic clues of editing by adding many more distortions. AFPHOTO version contains all the layers of painting information including the "original" photo. Kates Family Portrait_DAP_ALL__Glamour(Ultra_Detail).afphoto
  2. Very possibly, but I cannot see it. I am blessed with the gift of Red/Green colour-blindness.
  3. I thought I'd have a go at correcting the flaw in the family photo HRH Kate released. I used Affinity Photo 2 clone brush and tone mapping to remove the bit everybody was talking about.
  4. It looks like the old Serif Font Manager which I believe was based upon an earlier version of the software. I had version X3. I found that version to be quite buggy.
  5. Sadly, Alt Space brings up the run dialogue on my computer. I do have Power Toys installed, which may be the cause.
  6. Here is another painting in acrylics produced using DAP Pro 7 and interfacing with Affinity Photo. I have included a video of the painting process along with the resulting multilayered Affinity Photo file so you can see how the painting comes to life with human-assisted AI. Play with the Affinity Photo file to your heart's content to see the layering involved and each painting stage. This is a very productive tool. 7. @Dan C It seems that Affinity Publisher has a similar problem to Affinity Photo regarding the requester, although Affinity Designer seems all right. Perhaps they use similar code and are affected by only the number of options available per program/application.
  8. @Dan C I'm pleased that you think the dialogue should fit on the screen in some way, as it would seem to be a sensible course of action. Thank you for responding to the report and acknowledging the issue. I simply wanted to reset the interface to defaults after messing it up. This led me to discovering the reset requestor issue. I have managed to do that now.
  9. Sadly, even with the taskbar hidden, it still fails to fit on the screen. Counting is the way to go, it seems @Ron P. Thanks again.
  10. I figured they were catering to people with larger monitors and higher resolutions, however, it would be nice to see them make allowances for people with smaller resolutions who use the software as well. Thanks for your help.
  11. The TAB key may work, but I would be working blind to work out which button was being highlighted. The upper x close option fails to implement the reset. Wouldn't a scroll bar on the side of the dialogue/requester which allows one to scroll through the options be more useful?
  12. Using the CTRL loading option on Affinity Photo brings up the reset dialogue on my Lenovo T430, but unfortunately, the dialogue is too big to fit on the screen. I am unable to access the buttons at the bottom of the dialogue to effect their operation. 1399 x 768 is the maximum resolution on this computer. Is there a hotkey to access the button to okay the reset? I see no other way to achieve the appropriate result.
  13. You are possibly correct. I haven't used an e-reader for a while, but my old Amazon Kindle supported mobi-pocket and PDF as ebook formats. No e-pub though.
  14. Continuing my work with Affinity Photo and DAP Pro 7 I created this portrait version of a photograph that came with DrawPlus X8. The painting effect was enhanced by the use of Tone Mapping and the development persona to give it an authentic painted look. The small JPG was exported from Affinity Photo. I hope you can see the paintbrush textures.
  15. DAP messy felt tip painting affinity photo file imported from PSD. Each layer will demonstrate how the artwork is compiled based on an original photo. The Affinity Photo file is half the size of the imported PSD and yet retains all the detail. This should be enough to illustrate its usefulness as part of an Affinity Work Flow. Enjoy playing with the files. 061218k0024_DAP_ALL__FeltTip_V7(FeltTip_V7_Messy).afphoto
  16. True. It appears only to run as an emulated application for Mac. I don't know how well the emulated app works.
  17. Pizza1_DAP_Vegetables.afphotoI have been experimenting with Mediachance Dynamic Auto Painter Pro and seeing how its output can integrate into an Affinity Workflow. I processed an image from my DrawPlus X8 samples directory and painted a new image based on a vegetable collage. DAP allows an output in the form of a multilayered PSD file which will import into Affinity apps very well. So if you are interested in using this painting app with Affinity, then you can see that it will be a very useful addition to your creative library of apps. Here is an example of the output and an Affinity Photo file which I saved from the process for you to examine and see if it would be useful for you. There are three layers in the simplified Affinity Photo file based on the simplified PSD. You might like to experiment with them. Other painting styles are supported with quite a bias toward Van Gogh and Benson. Enjoy.
  18. You already have a fixed layout e-book format in PDF. Surely reflowable would be more useful to implement first.
  19. The question is why are we limited to Hunspell hyphenation dictionaries? Are there no other free-to-use dictionaries that could be implemented in Affinity in a supplementary fashion?
  20. I recently transferred this image from DrawPlus X8 as an SVG file and found the quality to be very good indeed. It worked very well in Affinity Designer and the other apps, so well done Serif. It is quite a large (complicated) SVG but retains all the details from the original DrawPlus sample image file. This we can work with. A low-quality JPEG is also included so you can see approximately how it should look. This is only included for demonstration purposes (fair use) and not for any infringement of copyright. I am impressed with the compatibility. I would love to know how to create this, or something similar, from scratch using Affinity Designer. Teddy Bear.svg
  21. They are totally unrelated, except that they originate from the same company, which is obviously a relationship. I would have thought that the SMF format could have been brought forward into the Affinity suite, as it obviously was created to provide high-quality transfer of images between applications. Unless that is, they have developed something better, in which case importing their own proprietary legacy format would have been a useful addition Mind you with the Mac being the primary platform for Affinity that may not have been on their minds.
