@thomaso Thank You for linking that thread! The blur tool is now working on BOTH computers by disabling hardware acceleration.

Shaw reacted to Wosven in Uses of Templates - Why Use .aftemplate?
There are limits to Affinity templates, and I don't use them because:
you can't distinguish if it's made with AP/AD/APub, but the distinctive features of each app means you don't want to open APub files in AP, for example... you'll have to add prefixes or suffixes to your files' names when extensions are made for this and should suffice, each time you open a template (or an older file in a new version), you'll loose the original name of the file, and you'll have to write it again or go back to the folder and copy it, before saving with the necessary changes in the name (usually about date)... I find this particulary annoying when needing to use the exact same nomenclature, or needing to keep a specific identifier for client when I can't know each identifier of all clients... I'd rather have "SAME_NAME_AS_ORIGINAL_[copy] or similar as new name for those files, it's faster to put all the templates in a folder, or your app will be longer to display the panel, since it's scanning all the specified file tree in search of each template files... In a professionnal environment, you can't do this, but usually use complexe file tree to organise your files by types, clients, specific works, etc. Add to this different servers for archives that need to be available, etc. and the template panel is of no use.
You can do without, but there's an interesting item in the Template panel: the preview. Having this preview and a classical file tree in the Open and in the tTemplate panels would have been better IMO. Of course, the best is to use them and get your own opinion

To supplement @BofG's advice, if you use the Gradient Tool to drag a gradient onto your object instead of using a Gradient Overlay layer effect, the gradient will be exported to SVG without rasterization. Also, the only brushes that are pure vector are the first two brushes in the Pen category. All of the other brushes are composed of raster images stretched or repeated along a vector path.

That's probably the easiest way! I don't think they would welcome posts from users trying to advertise paid-for services,* but I can't imagine them objecting to a request for paid help.

*Come to think of it, there are plenty of posts advertising things like assets and brushes for purchase, so if advertisement of goods is allowed I'm not sure that it would be fair to disallow advertisement of services.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, Shaw. :)

Just as an FYI, there never was a WebPlus X3, so it must have been either X2 or X4! (The numbering scheme was dictated by PagePlus releases, and PagePlus X4 had already been released by the time the successor to WebPlus X2 came out.)
