  1. Hi, Sorry, I'm total newbie to vector art and AD. I was wondering what's the difference between Copy/Paste (cmd+C and cmd+V) and Duplicate (cmd+J) other than one less command? Thanks
  2. Brilliant! Thank you gdenby! It worked exactly the way I wanted it :) I have a long way to go learning vector art :P
  3. In Questions & Feedback, wouldn't it be easier if you have had three sub-folders? One for Affinity Designer, second for Affinity Photo, and third for Combined/General. If you have more products then more sub-folders. I read some of the questions and threads here realising at the end that it was about Affinity Photo rather than Designer as I was interested in questions only related to Designer. I know some or most of the features are common/overlapping but we could always put a reference. Anyhow, just my two cents. :)
  4. Hi, I'm total noob to illustrator and learning things through forums and youtube until last week I stubble upon Affinity Designer. It's awesome as it doesn't have subscription, but I don't know how good it is as compared to Adobe Illustrator. Anyhow, I'm trying to make a 3D-effect text logo. I couldn't find the font that would emulate the text design I'm looking for. So, I chose to use Pen tool to "write" the logo (not making the outline of the text). Once I wrote the logo I increased the size of "outline" and it looked exactly the way I wanted. The problem now is that this logo is in "line" so I can't fill it with colours or make 3D effect. I thought that if I'd change the logo to "Rasterise" and then convert it back to "curve", I'd then get an outlined logo which I could manipulate. But when I did that there was no option of turning rasterised layer back to curve. :( Other thing I was thinking that make a new rectangle and "subtract" that text logo. Afterwards either I could use another rectangle and then again "subtract" to get a "curve" text logo OR if there is an option to "invert" the selection to get a "curve" logo. Please feel free to give any suggestion. Thanks
