  1. Hi, Looks like the same issue I'm having with the Gaussian blur which I posted about, looks like it might be an issue with the live layers. Although not perfect solution I managed to sort it out by moving the Live effect layer above the picture frame. Here's my original post: Cheers Richard
  2. Hi, Thanks and congratulations on an amazing set of products now that Publisher has come out, the Studio link is amazing! I do have one issue on Windows 10 home (64bit), this happens on both a PC with Ryzen 2600 with GTX 1070ti and 16GB RAM and a PC with intel i5-6400 integrated graphics and 16GB RAM in different documents. Trying to replicate the blur mask created during the live presentation to make text over an image more readable with the different personas. I created documents added a picture in a picture frame, selected the picture then the Photo persona, added a Gaussian blur live filter, went to the Designer persona, created a box and used this as a mask. This all worked but when I reopen the documents on both computers I get the image is broken into squares with broad white lines surrounding them. If I double click the live Gaussian blur filter layer and change the blur amount the lines change size. I can get it back to normal by dragging the blur layer and mask out of the picture frame then back again but obviously this shouldn't be needed. I've attached screenshots showing the correct blur applied to a box under some text over the image then the issue appearing and the affect altering the Gaussian blur has on the width of the white borders. Hope you can help fix this bug. Kind Regards Richard Hi quick update, this only happens if the Gaussian blur layer is within the Picture Frame, when I moved the Gaussian blur to the layer above the picture frame rather than above the picture in the Picture Frame it still worked and when I restarted it was fine. I've attached another screenshot showing the different layer setup. Thanks Richard
  3. Hi Gabe, Thanks, I'll give that a go and let you know how it goes. *Update, tried this and everything seems stable so far (touch wood) I've had no crashes so I guess something from the old preferences files didn't like the newer version of designer. I'll let you know if anything changes. Thanks Richard
  4. Hi, I'm using the pen tool to create a path(or shape) round an image with an object that I then want to paste into the shape to remove the background behind the object but get a crash every time I try to create the curve (path). I first created the document (with an artboard), next I dropped the image containing the object I wanted to cut out into one layer I then select the pen tool and start going round the shape in a new layer. Every time I trace around the item after a handful of points are created and before closing the shape Affinity Designer 1.7.0.367 crashes/closes with no warning and no error code. I've set designer up to report crashes but have no idea if it's sending anything as the usual crash dialogue box (that I used to get in 1.6) isn't appearing. This didn't happen in version 1.6 or it did it didn't do it regularly enough for me to think it was an issue and I have always had error code boxes or dialogue report boxes appear on previous crashes with 1.6. I only upgraded from 1.6 to version 1.7.0.367 this morning. I've attached a grab of Affinity Designer showing an example of the kind of document that it's crashing on loaded and with the pen tool and curve as they were prior to crashing. I'm on Windows 10 home 64-bit with 16GB Ram, Intel i5-6400 and I'm using the integrated graphics (HD 530), Affinity Designer is installed on a 250GB Samsung SSD. It's driving me nuts, it's happening in different documents, new documents and old documents. I've not tried uninstalling and re-installing yet but wanted to avoid this if possible. *Update, tried uninstalling and re-installing but that didn't work, in fact I seemed to get more crashes where it would just crash out for no apparent reason even when not using the pen tool without any crash reporting dialogue box. I tried to replicate the issue on my home PC but that seemed to work fine, I couldn't get it to crash at all but that system is a very different spec (Still on Windows 10 Home 64-bit) with Ryzen 2600 on a B450 motherboard with 16GB RAM 500GB Samsung SSD GTX1070Ti graphics card. Hope you can help! Let me know if you need any more information. Kind Regards Richard
