PS, I'm on the latest AfDes (1.7.2.471) on Windows. I have all three apps.

My initial install of AfDesigner had a set of default styles which included Metal, Rainbow, Onyx, Glass etc. I used a couple of them. Now looking for them again, they have disappeared and been replaced by a different set of defaults. What happened to them, and how can I get them back please?

Doesn't happen in the latest (312) AfPub. Hopefully fixed.

On loading a document created (Ibelieve) with AfPub 270 into 293, it reports "Document contains missing fonts: Arial Narrow". The document does not (intentionally) use Arial Narrow, which IS in any case present on my system. Also, the first document to be opened produces the pop-up too far right (into the Studio area), and it's barely noticeable. Opening a second document produces it in the right place.

Success! I installed .NET 4.7.2 (4.7.03062), which has superseded (removed) 4.6.2, and both AfPub and AfD latest Betas now run fine. The other versions shown in my earlier screenshot are still present, but don't seem to have caused any problem. Thanks again.

Hi Jon, thanks for that. My event log also reports an issue with Framework v4.0.30319, although I too have v4.6.2 (4.6.01590) installed. However I notice that something has re-installed the older versions SINCE 4.6.2 was installed. (see screenshot below). SFC does not report any issues with the fonts. Interestingly (?) there are no .dmp files in that folder (or sub-folders), so perhaps it didn't get that far. None of the fonts show zero size. They are a mixture of OpenType, TrueType, and Raster fonts.

It crashes just after displaying "Loading Fonts..." on the splash screen. Does this help? If not, could additional diagnostics be added to the splash info (if only temporarily), so we can report more exactly where it's got to when it crashes? (PS - I do have 464 items in "Fonts".)

249 on Win7 (64bit) SP1 "Stops working" at startup, even though I have reinstalled VC++ Runtime (uninstalled, re-booted, installed 14.16.27027), and used Ctrl to reset all data. AD 243 has the same problem. I can't do anything more here without further information.

When changing e.g. overall font size, such that the text flows onto different pages, the graphics (and I think, tables &c.) stay on the same page, rather than with the text they should be associated with. There appears to be no way of anchoring them to the text they are connected to. This is painfully tedious for anything except a very short document, and I presume it is an unintended omission, hence the bug report. There was a discussion thread which included references to this ("Inline Graphics & Anchors to objects"), but the thread followed several subjects and I fear that this item may have got lost. (If there is a solution which I have missed, I apologise). However, AfPub is looking set to be very good once complete - thanks.

Yes, that would be very helpful. It would also be nice to be consistent across the range. I'm guessing it will arrive before too long.

Hi Chris, I am expecting to see exactly what you describe. I have made a new, simple file, and testing on that shows that when I change between layers by clicking directly on the "fx" in the layer bar, then everything works. If I change by clicking elsewhere in the layer bar, then some things change, but not the highlight and shadow sections, so the resulting page is a hybrid of the settings for the previous and current pages. The first two screenshots show the result of clicking on "fx" for each layer. The third shows the result of clicking elsewhere in the layer bar. Thanks for your response. Keith.

I added a new layer, and wanted to apply similar Layer Effects to an earlier one. I opened the earlier fx page, checked the settings, and then selected the new layer (in layer manager). SOME of the fx settings changed to represent the new selection, but others did not. It's quite bewildering to work with. I can't find any other similar posts.

I can not find any way to apply a layer effect across multiple linked text frames. It seems that you have to select each frame/layer in turn and set up the effects again. It would be nice in general to be able to copy a layer effect (or set of effects) and apply it to one or more other layers, e.g. via a right-click, but some kind of auto-flow to make effects follow linked frames might be helpful.
